Angela B I have never heard of Succubus blues but I think the other two are on my to-read list I will have to look up the third one :)

And Dark Lover was a great book I have read the first two and will be reading the third one soon-ish probably

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I just finished Naked Edge (I-Team, #4) by Pamela Clare . If you like romantic suspense books this is a great series and this book is probably the best of them.

I just finished Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward . I'm going to go crazy waiting for book 3 to come in from the library. It's a good series.

message 154: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I finished reading Dead Beat and The Goose Girl. I am currently reading Proven Guilty.

message 155: by Angela (new)

Angela B I just finished Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld and I thought it was completely wonderful! I am looking forward to the next in the series however I don't know when I will get to it (so many books so little time) I gave it 5 stars

message 156: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments I read You Are So Undead to Me (Megan Berry, #1) by Stacey Jay and I really loved it! When I first heard the title, I thought it sounded lame. I decided it actually looked like something I might like though after reading some reviews. I am so glad I gave it a shot cause it was witty, angsty, and action packed! It reminded me a bit of Buffy and I wondered a few times if the author is a fan. ;) I'm going to read the sequel Undead Much now. :)

message 157: by Angela (new)

Angela B Oooh BUFFY! I am not going to have to read this at some point and also recommend it to my sister!

I've wondered about that book. It looks like it could be really bad or pretty fun.

Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward . I'm loving the series.

message 159: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments Well it's a light, fluffy read. Dont go into it expecting something serious, but I guess with a title like You Are So Undead To Me, you probably wouldn't take it serious, lol.

I finished Undead Much (Megan Berry, #2) by Stacey Jay and loved it! It definitely was a bit darker than the first, but still funny. The 'bad guys' are pretty easy to figure out in both books, but besides that I really love the series. It looks like the series might be getting darker as it goes from the ending of Undead Much?, and I can't wait to read the next one.

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I finished The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa today, and I really liked it. I can't wait for the sequel. :)

my review- http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

My review is kind of bad, because I am half dead right now, lol.

message 161: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I just finished Burning Alive (Sentinel Wars, #1) by Shannon K. Butcher and Finding the Lost (Sentinel Wars, #2) by Shannon K. Butcher . If you like JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood and Lara Adrian's Breed series you will like these, romance novels in a series that continue and build a strong world.

I just finished Disappearing Nightly (Esther Diamond, #1) by Laura Resnick . Book 2 was a lot more fun. I liked the cop in this one, but it's not as good.

message 164: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I just finished Voices of Dragons by Carrie Vaughn and really liked it. I thought the story was really sweet.

message 165: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments Finished Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill and I'm about 1/4 through Friday Night Bites (Chicagoland Vampires, #2) by Chloe Neill . I really like the series so far.

Paula (pauldajo) I finished listening to The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and liked it. I'll have to buy the book.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I just finished Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep by Jennifer Estep. I really liked it.

message 170: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments ^^ Oh, I have been wanting to read that. My library sucks though it doesn't have any books I want. Because I am super picky and there are a lot of UF books I don't end up liking, I didn't buy it. What would you say it reminded you of? Is there any other UF series (like writing style, characters, or plotlines) it could be compared to?

I read Willow by Julia Hoban and it was wow kind of book. It was seriously deep and very hard to read, but it was good.

Carrie it is hard to describe the book. It was really good, I gave it 4 stars and I don't give out many of those especially to a 1st book in a series. There was tons of action, sexual tension, some really funny parts, and one part where I teared up. Things were resolved and it left enough stuff for you to really wonder too.

I too hate to buy a book that isn't good, but this one I think you would be safe in buying.

message 172: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments Thanks Darcy, I'll probably pick it up sometime!

message 173: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I finished listening to Once Dead, Twice Shy and really enjoyed it. I was so happy that the once dead part of the title didn't mean teenager vampire. Kim Harrison created an unusual situation for Madison Avery. The universe was filled with angel like beings and rippers. The philosophy of the rippers was new to me and not illogical. I'm waiting for the audio download on book two.

message 174: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I read Boys, Girls and Other Hazardous Materials by Rosalind Wiseman , and I really liked it. I didn't expect it to be as heavy as it was. It was pretty simplistic, but at the same time it was really good, and left my thinking.

message 175: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I finished Thirteen Reasons Why, which I encourage every one to go out and read. If you do I would recommend listening to the audio version as the story line goes very well with listening to it.

I also finished Brighid's Quest which while there were some problems with it I thought it wrapped up the story line good, but did leave an opening to continue with more in the future.

message 176: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments I put it on my list Darcy. It sounds kind of like The Secret Year which I just got from the library.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments Angela wrote: "I just finished Twisted by Andrea Kane it was a very good read :)"

I have wanted to read this author as I have heard good things, but I can't tell if they are a series and I am not sure which order to read them.

message 185: by Angela (new)

Angela B I didn't get the feeling of a series from this book and it's the first I have read, I will probably read more books by her in the future...let me look at some of her other books see if the characters sound familiar or anything :)

message 186: by Angela (new)

Angela B Ok so Twisted looks like the first book about sloane burbank and then drawn in blood is another about the same person, but even the book doesn't say for sure if there was anything before twisted

message 187: by Heather (new)

Heather T (horrorvacui000) | 5931 comments Mod
Apparently it's book 1. Drawn in Blood happens a few months later. According to someone's review.

The Luxe (Luxe, #1) by Anna Godbersen
I liked it. I want to move on to book 2, but I have library books that must come first.

message 191: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments I have had Luxe for about a year but just don't pick it up for some reason.

message 192: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I had it for a while too before I actually started it. It took me about three tries to really get into it. Once I did get into it though I really enjoyed it. :)

Heather T (horrorvacui000) | 5931 comments Mod
I've had it on my tbr for a while. I'm not sure if it's your kind of book or not Carrie.
I like historical fiction so it was interesting for me, but it's ya historical fiction so it's limited on the history part.

message 194: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I think if you like Gossip Girl (the shows or the books) you will like Luxe. It has a lot of scandal, backstabbing, and romances. I don't think it's really "historical fiction." It is set in the later 1900s I believe, but it's more about drama than history.

message 195: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I finished Enchanted Glass and I liked it!

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I liked Rumours more than the Luxe =]

I just finished Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward and I lovvedd it! I wish I could buy the series. =[ I'm hopping over to the library as soon as possible to get the next in the series.

It's at least fairly accurate for NY of the day. The issues with Tammany and the whole culture of the time. It's not 100%, but for YA, it's as good as you'll get. (Going back to The Luxe.)

message 198: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I finished listening to Tris's Book and liked it!

Paula (pauldajo) I finshed listening to Daja's Book and I like her story. She was able to resolve a huge conflict.
