I know they do it just to get a rise out of me (i don't let them), but they keep doin' it when i say i'm not offended, but i AM. I know they'll just do it more tho. WHAT TO DO!! THEY need to learn RESPECT!! HA!! good luck getting that from a teenager!! no offense to me fellow teens out there, but u guys r HARSH!!

Seriously, shouldnt there be an age limit to this group. How can we rant and rave about adult stuff when kids are in the room. This chick is around my sons age. its getting uncomfortable for me!

I agree, there should be an age limit, but Goth Chick's bringing up a valid point: lots of teenagers are just nothing more than abusive assholes.

i don't understand what people above 18 have against kids. I actually get along better with adults than kids. I think kids my age r TOO imature and arrogant, and just can't stop being such @%$&^*^@!!! This is just about the kids i hate btw...no offense intended. sry :(Just tell me what u have against me lori...i'm a human being. would u rather i wait till' im old and won't have much time for books....or lie about mt age?

If there were an age limit in the real world, on who u could associate with, we'd never learn and grow. I find the adults on here helpful. they have some answers my mom wouldn't provide. she tells me her opinion and that's it. here, i get multiple choices and can choose for myself.

i suspect the main reason for the adult prejudice toward "kids" would be the rampant L33t speak (or whatever you're calling it now in the non-geek circles) you all insist on typing with. it's sort of hard to read, and if it's not in a text message, is pretty much just for show, since it really doesn't save all that much typing time (i realize that i never capitalize anything, which is arguably from the same lazy roots as all the shorthand, so maybe i have no room to talk). but really, if you typed using whole words and entire sentences, it would be a lot harder for the rest of us to point our fingers and scream "eeek! teenagers!"
I've got nothing against a teen posting here. Hell, it's probably better than what most of us were doing at the same age (or am I just projecting?). Ageism sucks, I hated it when I was a teen and I still hate it now. Sure, teens may lack a certain amount of life experience but that doesn't mean that they don't have valid points to add to a discussion and should be dismissed out of hand.That said Goth_Chick, this is not an IM. Try to remember what you didn't learn in Freshman English and adhere to basic grammar rules. Otherwise I just don't even bother to read what you write.

seriously... whats wrong with the teens on this generation. i blame the media for putting everything in the air for us teens to snatch. i mean alot of my friends are all about gossip and the latest fashion and shit but that doesn't mean we all are.i'm trying to defend the teens that are mature(for their age group) and know how to get a grip of things. all of your accusations are just to general. i hate that my generation is looked down upon.

Nobody here kicks out teens. They kick themselves out cause they want the adults to ignore the whininess of their "omg my bf scares me" and "omg my world is over he won't talk to me" rants and baby them and we won't. We'll treat you like we treat everyone else here, with all the contempt and snarkiness befitting a hater.
To back up Sarah:Yes, teens are welcome. People do post responses that some may find hurtful so at times a thick skin is needed. However, not all of us treat group members with "contempt".

hey now, i turned 18 in 2000, and having been an avid watcher of MILLENNIUM, i was halfway convinced i'd never get to see 19 (or 20 i guess, depending on if you're counting from 1 or 0). well, i'm now 25, so i guess everything worked out all right.now, my question is, what are they (they being the apocalyptic fear mongers) going to do once 2012 passes uneventfully? we're running out of end of the world predictions people! are they going to start just making them up like the death cults do?
The world will end someday when our star goes into supernova. It may even end before that when it starts to fizzle. All stars do. SO what if it's millions of years from now? It still means the world will end. The apocalypse is NOW!I personally don't mind the fearmongers. They sort of do the world a service by forcing the people who believe them to clean up their act in anticipation of the end. What sucks is that we don't all believe and clean up our acts all at once, each time the end is said to be approaching.
My lack of the suave touch. But in the end, my shenanigans were pretty pointless; aside from his few remaining quarks he's fine. Still breathing. Probably tortures animals now though.
