Annie (themadnessofhamsters) Hi Melody
Finished Ender's Game 10 minutes to go. Which is 5 hours before the end of February in New Zealand.
Thank you for the recommendation - and the push to finally read it. One more classic YA novel to tick off the list.
Having grown up in a house of teenagers & adults, I found starting school really difficult - hanging out with all those immature children. It made me appreciate how Ender & his classmates/siblings felt.

tosca (catatonichataholic) | 742 comments Hey BJ Rose - I finished The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith today. I always leave my Pick It For Me challenge until the last day or two before the end of the month. I enjoyed the story which surprised me because I didn't like Isabel at first, she's quite a cold character who is a little too rational for my taste but she began to grow on me a little more with each chapter. Was a bit apprehensive about reading it because I couldn't stand Precious Ramotswe LOL I see that this is part of a series and I will be reading the rest :-) Thanks for the recommendation! Now when customers talk about the series I'll be able to converse with them instead of having a general idea.

So glad you liked it, tosca! I had the same feeling about Isabel to begin with - she was so judgmental, but yeah, she grew on me, too, even more so in book 3 (I think that's the one where she became much more likeable)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Rachel,

I know this is quite late, but I'm finally finished with the The Time Traveler's Wife. It took me almost the whole month of March to listen to it (I only listen while I'm driving), but it was worth it. It made me cry like in the last disc, tears pouring down my cheeks while driving. Have to explain to hubby why I came home with my eyes red. : ) Great narrators, too, if anybody is interested in getting it in audiobook.

Now, I'm going to see if I can get the DVD.

Thanks for the recommendation. Loved it.
