Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I wish I could, but this year were moving back to Norfolk. I still joined the group you made and tried to join the official site, but it wouldn't let me. :\

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments It's brandy new. I know they've had some problems with it, Saira. It's in beta this month so you're supposed to report any bugs or problems you have in the NaNoWriMo forums where there's a thread for the Camp bug reports. But I bet your probably already knew that. :)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Yeah...if I can remember how to get in. DX

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments What do you mean?

message 155: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Nevermind. I couldn't remember which password I used at first.

message 156: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Oh, okay.

message 157: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments How was everyone's Thanksgiving?

message 158: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Mine was great! My mom made one on Wednesday and we went down to her Dad's on Thursday. Both dinners were amazing!

message 159: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments That's cool.

We had a good dinner and watched Medea's Christmas. Now I must memorize the new Mass for tomorrow.

message 160: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Good luck.

message 161: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Is anyone else watching Once Upon a Time and thinking that the moral of the story is that we need to listen to kids because they know what they're talking about? That's the feel I'm getting from it.

message 162: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I haven't seen last night's episode. I might watch it tonight.

message 163: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I still haven't caught up. XP

message 164: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I liked that episode. Saved by the umbrella was a nice touch.

Then we watched a Psych called This Episode Sucks!

message 165: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Yeah, I like him better than the Evil Witch/Mayor. There is something insanely fair about him - he doesn't hide the terms too closely. Sure there was that thing with Cinderella, but she had to know "Oh, I'll think of something" meant something really horrible. She still knew what she was signing up for.

It is interesting how much Rumple/Mr. Gold is in it. He's as central as the Mayor, Emma, and Henry, to all appearances.

My question is where is the story really heading? The plot with season one is rather clear - break the curse. Assuming Henry's fantasies are real and not just the makers messing with our heads (the clock and crickets certainly seem to suggest the real theory), then Emma should be getting hard proof in the back six episodes. They probably won't keep that up for more than a season, in which case next season is about ...?

Anyway ... I like the show.

message 166: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Maybe it'll be six seasons: At the end of season one, confirmation that there is a curse, at the end of season three it is finally borken, and the rest resets as the final battle. I think the kid's words were: "You break the curse and then the final battle begins." (Emphasis mine.)

By the way, does any one have extrememly vivid dreams? There are several dreams that I can recount perfectly from beginning to end ... it's a touch odd.

message 167: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Out of all the new shows for this year I like Once Upon a Time and Grimm the best.

message 168: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Like the one where Jon stabbed you with a pencil? XD

message 169: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Last night my dream had two parrallel plots involving a couple of broke twenty-year-olds chasing down five bucks and high end grifters ripping someone off for a million dollars.

message 170: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Fantastic.[/lightsarcasm] Drowning in chocolate is ... I don't even know what that is.

One isn't supposed to die in their dreams. I have died in my dreams, several times. Once I had a conversation with the man who killed me after he too received lead poisoning.

message 171: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I usually don't remember my dreams after a few minutes.

Caffeine is not the problem for PMS, it's sugar, trust me-I know all too well. XP

message 172: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Ah, that might have been why it came out wrong...or maybe I read it wrong...I have a headache so that's quite a possibility. XP

message 173: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Weather is part of it, a cold front just came through today, but part of it is too much sugar. It makes the muscles in my shoulder and neck tense up pretty bad. I also haven't had any coffee today...

I did watch Once Upon a Time but I didn't think that. Of course, I haven't really been looking for the moral of the story.

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Edward wrote: "I liked that episode. Saved by the umbrella was a nice touch.

Agreed. That is, about the umbrella.

message 176: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I was joking about the moral of the story. It's by the creators of LOST, so it's less about lessons and more about how far they can push the "believable" in believable plot twist. And it's also fun to watch.

message 177: by Stephanie (last edited Nov 29, 2011 06:03PM) (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments I love Once Upon a Time. It's fresh and different from everything else that's on TV. Anyone watching The Sing-Off? So glad Penatonix won!!!

message 178: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I haven't; I generally don't watch re- wait, "Penatonix"? That's a name?

message 179: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Yeah, Edward. That's the name of the group that one this season.

I like Rumple/Mr. Gold too, Alex. I love it how he's involved with everything.

message 180: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments In the stories I think he eats them, but the way fairy tale stories work it might as well mean pedophilia.

message 181: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Uh ... he's a local "friend?" People don't usually suspect their neighbors of being psychopaths.

Let's hope Henry isn't the one who figures out of that Mr. Gold is Rumpelstiltskin.

message 182: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments We live in ... a low end but mostly clean apartment complex. The traffic around here is just the right blend of frequent enough for people to see things but not so crowded as to not look, so crimes are more likely to be noticed. On the other hand, there is a group of people on a nearby road that have a few too many types of cars in front of their house.

message 183: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Rumpelstiltskin has to make deals to capture people, however. His power is entirely in the contract, as I understand it.

message 184: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Sounds like a good reason to learn how to use a shotgun. For confined areas, with potential friendlies around, twenty guage is better than a twelve, and obviously slugs are more practical than buck shots. If you want to be extra gentle, you can find rock salt and bean bag rounds for shotgun.

I think the Mayor does care for Henry, but then she cared for her father as well.

message 185: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments At least you can laugh about it. That's a very admirable quality. Hope it works out.

Maybe Rumple will; the whole plot is him tricking the Witch into casting the spell so that he can seize power somehow.

message 186: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments To me it seems like Rumple still remembers as does the mayor....

message 187: by Stephanie (last edited Dec 02, 2011 10:30AM) (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments I don't think the mayor does but it seems like Rumple definately does. I'd never actually heard of him before Once Upon A Time though.

message 188: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Doesn't the prologue say "Only one remembers?" It would be an excellent red herring if it was Rumple and not the Witch.

message 189: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Did it? Huh.

message 190: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I haven't seen last night's episode, but I believe they were, in what I like the call the three drunk catholics episode. Actually, I think there's been a Lost reference in every episode so far: The clock stuck at 8:15, the Mayor's house number is 108 ... I'm trying to remember one not involving the numbers.

message 191: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Yes! Apollo bars were definitely in it.

message 192: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Hey, where did Amanda disappear off to? She hasn't visited/commented in a while. Actually, a LOT of the people in the group haven't commented EVER.

message 193: by Mark (new)

Mark It's raining outside.

message 194: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments It's raining here too.

message 195: by Mark (new)

Mark Does anyone write screenplays?

message 196: by M (last edited Dec 30, 2011 01:50PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Joss Whedon does. Wouldn’t it be fun to write screenplays?

message 197: by Mark (new)

Mark Yeah, I liked Buffy and Angel.

message 198: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments XD Al, that's not good.

message 199: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I'm looking at writing screenplays ... for a television show, though; I haven't given much thought to a movie.

message 200: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Mark wrote: "Yeah, I liked Buffy and Angel."

And FIREFLY!!

I've been trying a few screenplays. One for a book series I like, one for Doctor Who which can never be done now, since it had Sarah Jane, and an original. Not going so well for me. I don't know much about screenplay writing...XP
