Hi Everyone, I noticed this group because of an update post from a fellow reader friend and thought, why not? I'm not a "named" challenge person, meaning an assigned book is read and discussed. That's why I don't belong to any book clubs, the attraction of that group is huge but I can't get by the "named" book. With that said, I see there are areas where you can be more flexible in this group and over time I'll discover that more fully. I'm from US, Boston area of the country. So long winter nights are part of my upbringing and books a passion from my early readings of Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys to everything else, I have to many favorites to post. A favored book has me hooked where I can't sleep if I put it down, I've lucked out and had a lot of those. I'm predominately a R/S reader, but love mysteries, chick-lit, historical, classics and a few thrillers. I force myself to have variety and audio lets me have it easily. Audio books is my preferred method of reading books (two things at once attracts me), though I read tons of eBooks as well. Paper is no longer a passion of mine, though I respect others that prefer that medium.
Hey all! I'm Jonel. I'm a sucker for romances of all types. I have a tendency to start series, fall in love with them, yet rarely have time to get back to the later books in the series, because something else catches my eye. I'm hoping that this group will help out with that.
Welcome to the group , Sue :) you'll find all sorts of things in this group . There's something for everyone's tastes !Have a look at our August newsletter(posted in newsletter section).
Welcome to the group , Jonel. I'm sure this group can help with your little problem. We grumble and complain but we read one bok from our series read each month ;)
my name is Julie and i'm new here. i'm from Canada and my favorite books are the host by Stephenie Meyer and Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Hi I'm Cynthia. I'm an author of Romance/Erotica books. i used to be a school teacher but am now retired, which gives me more time to daydream and think about great settings and ideas for my books.
Hello, my name is Margaret and I am from Muskoka, Ontario. I love all genres, but have a soft spot for Paranormal Romances. I adore the "Women of the Otherworld" series by Kelley Armstrong, and one of my favourite books is "Remembrance" by Jude Deveraux.
Hi all! I'm Aussie Author Phoenix Johnson. I'll admit that I'm not on GR as much as I'd like. However I do try! Haha. I just find the notification system a lot more full on than I'm used to, and the discussion boards etc do scare me a little. A fear I'm working on facing.
Focusing on the paranormal stories, I dabble in romance, erotic romance, horror and thriller/suspense sub-genres. I have about 14 works in progress that I currently juggle in between finishing studying for a BA and home life.
Oh, and we have 4 pets and counting, including a dog, 2 cats and 1 snake (so far, 2 more snakes coming soon!). I'm a bit eccentric, but then aren't most authors? We're all pretty crazy in our own ways ;)
Hi, I'm Nicci, I joined a bit ago and just finished my second challenge, Shelter Mountain (loved it). I'm really having fun and especially enjoy reading the same book as other readers, sharing thoughts, and discussing. I'm a romance writer. My debut novel turned out to be a small town contemporary romance. I just placed its sequel with the same publisher, also small town romance. I'm falling in love with that subgenre. I come from a small town originally, so maybe I'm going home in a way. I'm loving the Virgin River series.

Hi, I'm Lesley and I'm in California, originally from Washington state. I joined because I am interested in doing some fun challenges and discussing my favorite romances. I love Historical Romance, and especially Regency. If I have to pick a favorite, it's anything by Mary Balogh. I'm trying to branch out into other sub-genres, just finished a fantasy romance, Radiance and I LOVED it. I'm looking forward to being part of this group.
