Hello! I'm Mary and I live in Florida. Historical romance is my absolute favorite genre, and I really can't pick a favorite book among so many, but one that came to mind is A Week to be Wicked by Tessa Dare. :)
Hello everyone! My name is Bharat Thapa, I'm from Nepal . I love all sorts of books, though my favorite is romance.
I AM A Romance Addict! Raw, real, and angsty are my preferences. I find this combo true to my life experiences. Authors that can make me cringe, cuss, cry, laugh, and turn horrible life experiences into beauty ... well, they are my kryptonite!I enjoy reading fellow readers reviews. If the reviewer doubts a books substance, more than likely I will read it. So many people find it hard to grasp many angsty romance stories plots. Not me. My father robbed a bank, ... the man I fell in love with, his father is the VP of a bank. I need to write a book, LOL!
Hi everyone. I love all genres of romance from YA through to erotica. Two of my favourite authors are S.C. Stephens and C.J. Roberts.
Hello, my name is Halime. I live in İstanbul, Turkey. I love to read many different types of books, specially romance. I'm happy to join this group :)

Hi I'm from Kentucky and my favorite book is Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsey. The Mallory series is one of my favorites series. I love to read and will read about anything I can get my hands on.
Hi everyone,I am a Master's student in book publishing at NYU. I am in my final class and I am writing a business plan for a romance community website. If you could fill out this survey on what people would want to get out of this hypothetical website, then that would be great. The only requirement is that you have to be between the ages of 18-34.
[I got enough responses so I closed the survey. I'll keep you updated on my progress. Thanks for your help!]
Welcome to RLftCI, Bintal! Interesting business plan. Maybe we can inspire you. Alas, I'm too old for your survey, but I perused it anyway.
Thanks! I've really only read Young Adult and New Adult titles so this project is a new challenge for me. I've found some interesting stats on the romance market in my research. I'm halfway to my sample size goal so hopefully people will keep filling out the survey. (And I would totally look the other way if you pretended to be 34. Just sayin'.)(:
I originally set my project to have a target market of 18-34, but I think I need to change that. I was hoping to try to reach a new market segment and get them interested in romance. But the biggest age segment for romance book buyers is 30-54. I'm trying to figure out how to justify my younger target market.
Lisa Kay wrote: "What are younger women reading?"When I'm on the train , I like to look at what people are reading.
Here are my findings.
Men under 40 read Games of throne.
Men over 40 read non-fiction.
Boys read si-fi.
young girls read YA and paranormal.
women over 50 read mysteries .
The rest of women read romance
Hi everyone! I'm Patty and I live in Southern New Jersey. I like reading just about anything but historical fiction and romance are favorites. One of my favorite authors is Diana Gabaldon and I love her Outlander series.
