I feel the same way--sometimes I enjoy a good PNR where everything is totally predictable but it just feels good to read about the process. I cant read an entire series of PNR back to back. I get bored.

The second half gets a lot lighter.

I read all of them about 10 years ago. They were all contained within one books that was about 5 inches inchs (not kidding). Love the stories. I've heard the movie is really good.
Right now I am reading Kindred in Death by JD Robb. I love these books, have been reading this series for years. Next on my list is Pack Challenge by Shelly Laurenston, followed by LKHs Divine Misdemeanors.

It changes things up a little. It seems the characters have decided to go in a slightly different direction than Laurell intended (as she's stated in her blogs) and , with the Goddess' urging, look to be headed towards establishing another Court with a Queen Merry and her many men :-) At least, that's how I read into the events.

I have a few I need to read and I am trying to decide between:

Then I was going to start up the Night Huntress series, when I realized the book I had was the third in the series, so I had to run out to Borders to get

I really like the earlier books in that series, but find that around the fourth they start to go down hill. Although I do think that the latest one was a bit of an improvement, but this is totally just my oppinion, some people like all of the books.

I have a couple of her books but haven't read any yet. Are they good?
