Rebecca (Bec) | 248 comments I have started Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson Guardian, #1) by Keri Arthur last night. Based in Melbourne, Aus where I am from, not used to that. I'm used to alot of books being based in the US. Its kinda funny when she mentions places I actually know of. Sunshine Ave and Spencer Street Station... such a trip!

I just finished that book--it was really good. especially for the start of a new series. I also thought it was funny that is was based in Australia--it actually got me thinking that I don't think I have ever read another book based in Aus.

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) I'm reading Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning and am really loving this series. I'm so glad I listened to everyone and continued on with the series even though I wanted to strangle Mac in the first book. :)

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments So it really does get better? I wasn't so impressed with the first book. Mac bugged and it didn't really grab me. But I keep hearing so much about it I got the second book to check it out. I'm glad to hear that it get's better.

message 4308: by Gemma (new)

Gemma (bookmoodreviews) | 511 comments The series does get good, but very frustrating especially the end of Faefever and Dreamfever. I hope that Shadowfever does come out next year.

I'm halfway through Covet (Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward . Its a bit of a strange book. Take a little while to pick up, but now, well lets just say, I'm really begining to like this book. I like the fact that you as the reader are as much in the dark as Jim.

Yes, it gets much better and Mac gets much less whiny and annoying. And Barrons is just killing me.

I don't have to worry about the cliffhanger in Faefever since I have Dreamfever just waiting to be read, but I'm already dreading the cliffhanger at the end of that one. :)

Valorie | 426 comments I just finished Eve of Darkness (Marked, Book 1) by S.J. Day by S.J. Day and loved it!! Her take on the Cain & Abel story was fantastic!! Great plot and spectacular writing! Two hot brothers fighting over one woman, can't beat it! I can't wait to jump into the next book in the series (I have to wait until next month, it's in one of my challenges). I'm starting on [image error]

I'm not even going to talk about how anxious I am for the next J.R.Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood book Lover Mine! But, I'm in kind of a YA fix right now...there are some great YA books out there from this year and quite a few I'm anticipating in 2010.

I just finished Faefever and really like it, however I was frustrated with the cliff hanger ending. I have to wait for Dreamfever from the library and I read on another thread that it has a cliff hanger ending as well. Still a good series though, even though it frustrates me.

The Locus Awards Thirty Years of the Best in Science Fiction and Fantasy by Charles N. Brown My Favorite Fantasy Story by Martin H. Greenberg Strange Brew by P.N. Elrod

I just finished Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning and OMG, I am freakin' dying here! What a cliffhanger. Ugh. When is Shadowfever supposed to come out? Double Ugh.

Ok you're the 3rd person that has said that. I keep wanting to read this series, but I really think I need to wait until closer to the release date of the next book, because I don't know if I can take more book anticipation!!! LOL!

I am a library girl and I am not a big re-reader, but I am asking for the Fever books for Christmas so I can read them all again before Shadowfever comes out, and not just to refresh myself before reading the last book, but because there is soooo much stuff that has happened that I need to go back and re-read knowing the things I know now.

So part of me wishes I would have waited because this is a doozy of a cliffhanger, but part is glad to be able to read it all again. :)

I didn't "read" the 1st book Darkfever, I listened to it in the car and couldn't stand the main character Mac, partly due to the reader's voice and partly due to Mac, who grows so much during the series. I am so glad for these boards, where so many people told me to continue reading the series--soooo glad I did. :)

Barbara ★ Just finished Eternal Craving. If you enjoyed the first book, IMO the second is just as good.

Oh my. I’m starting Darkfever tonight so I’ll keep that in mind and make sure to continue with the series. For some reason I usually don’t warm up to the first hero in many PRN series which are usually the alpha or leader of a group. I know this will get my head bitten off but I have to say Wrath from DBD and Lucan in Midnight Breed are some prime examples. So with that said the second books did not disappoint and only fueled my PNR addiction. Thanks for the insight.

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) I am a library girl and I am not a big re-reader

I check out most of my books from the library too and I am not big on re-reading books either. I love series books but find that after a year of reading a hundred books, I have no clue what is going on by the time the next book is published. those are the times i am thankful the authors do little "mini updates" throughout the latest novel to remind me of things that happened in past books. and don't even get me started on the terrible cliffhangers like the Fever series has...torture!

I don't think I have ever re-read a book, not sure I ever would. Just too many new books to read. I wish I could get everything at the library, but our library just doesn't have half the things I want to read. I agree with you Cherra about the torture aspect of the Fever series. I just finished Faefever and am waiting on Dreamfever, and the cliff hangers are driving me insane. Oh...and there isn't even a release date for Shadowfever. My friend just called me this morning after reading Darkfever and was complaining about being left hanging. I explained to her that it only gets worse....lol.

Tonya | 179 comments I am about to start Holy Smokes (Aisling Grey Guardian, #4) by Katie MacAlister and am enjoying this series, however am a bit frustrated. The thing that frustrates me is when the main character has so many bad things happen to her, one right after another. That just sticks in my craw.

I'd suggest waiting to read Tempted (the 6th book of the series) until Burned (the 7th) comes out in May. I find most people have been thinking the same thing.

Oh and if you haven't read the Mortal Insturments books yet there really good too, they have some werewolves in them along with other mistical creatures and demons, I strongly recomment them.
