That also looks good. I am a shameless romance addict, but even I get tired of it in every UF book I pick up so it makes a refreshing change. Non horror slanted UF by a male author too, I'm interested in your thoughts when you finish it.

TBH it was a bit bland. The characters, the setting, and the romance. Maybe that set up just doesn't work for me? (only supe in an utterly real world). Big cats are beautiful, powerful, mesmerizing. The book was none of that. :(

Lately I have been re-reading a lot. It´s funny that sometimes I feel more hooked up with my favorite -allready read series-, than with new ones.
So, I finished The Guild Hunter series, The Hidden Legacy series and currently I´m on book 6 of the Kate Daniels series (and waiting for , the final book of the series.)

Also, in the last five months I loved and enjoyed , , , , , , , , and .

I wasn't so impressed with and .

I read some light romance, too: (it was good), (not so good) and , my firts M/M read. It was really nice.

More Meg and Simon books - yes, please!! I am totally with you, Sunseeker.

I am about halfway through Lake Silence, and am really enjoying it - I especially like the new character of Grimshaw. So far, I'd say it's not the mind-blowing awesomeness of Written in Red, Murder of Crows, etc - but then in my opinion, very few books are. But the second half of the book could maybe kick it up into that rare echelon, so we'll see! 😉

I LOVE The Others series! I'm so hoping Anne takes us back to Lakeside after the next book (it's going to take place in Bennett/Prairie Gold). Meg's story is not done yet.

I was re-reading some of Kristen Ashley's book and then I wanted something wickedly sexy to read, so I read and which was pretty amazing. I absolutely recommend it.

Now I'm on to some action romance with . I've been in luck reading Elle Kennedy's books, and this seems to be a good choice too.

I know...I had this in my hands for many weeks and then returned it to the library without reading it. I guess I'm more in love with the Others series to read on something that's not Simon and Meg...

Ok, I just finished , and I'm rating this a solid 4 - so I definitely enjoyed the book, but not as good as The Others series, in my opinion. I think I need to let the book "settle" into my brain a bit, but I think I do know why this book didn't resonate with me as much as the other books - I did not really click with one of the two main characters, Vicki. Whereas I loved the other main character of Grimshaw, who I thought was awesome.

Finished Simon Says Die it was a good story, but not as good as the first book in the series.
Read Staying in Vegas which was ok, I liked the characters, but the story just didn't drag me in.

I just finished Lord of the Fading Lands by C. L. Wilson and will be moving on to the next book in the series Lady of Light and Shadows immediately. It's not quite high fantasy, not quite a shifter story, and not quite romance, but an odd and perfect blend of the three. I admit, I haven't been as excited about a series since I read Karen Marie Moning's Fever Series.

I read these three books by J.L. Madore in pretty quick succession and enjoyed them a lot. Yummy immortal warriors, demons, human love interests and torture, lots of torture.

Finished ...it's long but I'm not complaining. Layers of great writings.

Also finished -loved it. My friend recommended reading Tristan and Danika. I did. I loved Tristan's story more.

Finished which was a cute shortie for subscribing to the author newsletter, vampire trilogy which despite a few plot holes and some major grammatical issues throughout, was my best vamp experience so far this year and which was completely forgettable.

Currently on and liking it so far, just hoping desperately it doesn't turn into a more lighthearted version of the authors Kushiel’s Legacy series which does nothing for me whatsoever!
