Katherine Maluia | 2 comments I just started where I left off in Vampire Kisses 3. To be honest its an awesome book, and you guys should start reading it, and I'm sure you'll loveit.

message 33602: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I forgot to update! I finished listening to How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back (White Trash Zombie, #4) by Diana Rowland and Monster Hunter Nemesis by Larry Correia and both were great. Now I'm listening to The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting which is quite good so far.

In print, I enjoyed Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu although it got off to a slow start for me, I was eventually sucked in and am now waiting to get the next two from the library. I also finished Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2) by Tahereh Mafi and started Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by Tahereh Mafi . I'm really hoping to see some stronger action from the main character in this final book.

message 33603: by Rebecka (new)

Rebecka Mähring (rebecka2) I'm planning to read Fury by Shirley Marr now :)

message 33604: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I finished Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by Tahereh Mafi ! This was kind of an interesting series for me. I liked the first one, I think purely for the writing style and the interesting premise of a girl who can't touch anyone for fear of hurting them. In the second book, the main character got on my last nerve and I found myself wondering why I kept reading. But I loved the third book. I liked that the author didn't necessarily take things where I thought she would after reading the first book. I liked that the MC actually did change and evolve and made some revelations about herself and those around her.

I love the Guild Hunter series! They are a different style though from psy/changlings. Much darker.

Shaineinok | 203 comments Kaitlynn wrote: "Question: What is your book budget? And on that budget how many books do you usually buy?"

Not much. I get most books from the library or trade with friends. I spend maybe $20 a month on new.

message 33607: by Shaineinok (new)

Shaineinok | 203 comments I've been reading Sweep in Peace, which is a serial right now. This month I've read Lynsey Sands Argeneau series books 1-10. I've also read The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms which was just okay. Currently reading The Fault in Our Starsfor book group, and The Atlantis Gene plot is interesting so far but the writing is a bit clunky.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Back from 3 weeks in Chicago lay Sunday... Didn't get as much reading done. And now at Destin Beach... One of the best, hands down...

Anyway, finished The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley . Loved it and can't wait for more.

Reading Sixth Grave on the Edge (Charley Davidson, #6) by Darynda Jones Reyes gives me this hot longing mixed with Charley's humor... Loving it.

message 33609: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments Since the last time I posted I finished The Highlander's Touch (Highlander, #3) by Karen Marie Moning which upset me as most of this series does. I can't handle the alpha male type romance book. Living Treasure Saving Earth's Threatened Biodiversity by Laurence Pringle was a bit outdated but interesting. Chased by the Light A 90-Day Journey-Revisited After the Storm by Jim Brandenburg this was a really cool book that had amazing photography of the boundary waters. Kiss of the Highlander (Highlander, #4) by Karen Marie Moning which was probably the best of them all so far but I'm done with KMM for awhile, can't handle it anymore. I am still reading The Epigenetics Revolution by Nessa Carey but the library wanted it back for a bit. It's a very interesting book that gets better as it goes. I am also re-reading A Natural History of the Senses by Diane Ackerman and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling both of which I love and are fabulous books!! It's been too long since I last read Harry Potter and I think I am going to take this summer to re-read them all. I can't wait!

message 33610: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I started Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs yesterday.

message 33611: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin JR (kerstinjr) | 4 comments I am re-listening to the Kate Daniels Magic Burns series by Ilona Andrews which I love, and have just finished Clean Sweep Clean Sweep (Innkeeper Chronicles) also by KD. Lots of promise there. Similar to her Edge novels but not too similar.

Yes! This is probably one of the few that I've read so far that has managed to handle the love triangle so well.

Better Homes and Hauntings by Molly Harper

Listening to The Last Kiss Goodbye by Karen Robards
Just the last few chapters so I can be ready for the next book in the series. Her Last Whisper (Dr. Charlotte Stone, #3) by Karen Robards Unique love triangle in this series.

Claudia Ayala (claudia_ayala) | 149 comments I finished rereading Nalini Singh´s Guild Hunter Series. Just love all the books.
I´m still reading At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost , but it’s been hard getting into it. Meanwhile I read There's Only Been You by Donna Marie Rogers . It was nice.

The truth is that lately I’ve tried to get into other paranormal romance series (Mercy Thompson, Night Huntress), but haven’t really enjoyed them.
Which series will you recommend me? I Loved Psy-Changling, Kate Daniels, Alpha and Omega, Charley Davidson, Midnight Breed, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Dark-Hunter

message 33615: by Sassy Sarah Reads (new)

Sassy Sarah Reads I've finished Inked Armor (Clipped Wings, #2) by Helena Hunting and Cracks in the Armor (Clipped Wings, #2.5) by Helena Hunting (it was decent, if you are curious about this series I have a video review for it), Wonderland Asylum by Raven Gregory (which was horrible), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling (which is so far my favorite book of the series), Ketchup on Everything by Nathan Robinson (fun and creepy), East of Eden by John Steinbeck (one of my new favorite classics), The One Safe Place by Tania Unsworth (really unique book and extremely entertaining), Ruthless People (Ruthless People, #1) by J.J. McAvoy , (which I expected to hate, but really enjoyed), and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling (amazing as always. J.K. never fails). I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6) by J.K. Rowling , Floating Boy and the Girl Who Couldn't Fly by Stephen Graham Jones (kind of ridiculous), Unwept (The Nightbirds, #1) by Tracy Hickman (intrigued and excited), The Belief in Angels by J. Dylan Yates (intrigued), Radiant (Towers Trilogy #1) by Karina Sumner-Smith (loving), All Our Yesterdays (All Our Yesterdays #1) by Cristin Terrill (great audiobook and it's so intense), and Undaunted Courage The Pioneering First Mission to Explore America's Wild Frontier by Stephen E. Ambrose (horrible).

Most definitely what I'll be reading next ... as soon as I finish Kristen Ashley's The Promise (try as I might, I just can't read two books at once - sigh).

Listened to Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews which was awesome and The One (The Selection, #3) by Kiera Cass which was alright. Starting to read The Mark of the Dragonfly by Jaleigh Johnson and possibly finally get into The Immortal Crown (Age of X, #2) by Richelle Mead which I keep reading a little of then getting bored with.

I think Magic Strikes remains my favorite of the series. I loved the Midnight Games and there were so many great barbs passes between Kate and Curran.

I know! I was all concerned that she was making me sympathetic to one character and then might pull the rug out from under me in the end. But she really delivered. It's nice to see a character make a thoughtful decision instead of just falling head over heels and never looking back.

Irene (irenemikhaylova) | 478 comments Finished listening to Highlander Most Wanted (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs, #2) by Maya Banks - it was interesting but all the references to rape and torture out me off.
