I must say I'm feeling rather underwhelmed by the first book.

Oh, I think many of us have been there .. I feel the same way about Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series ... it started out so good and went horribly wrong. I gave up. As for Sookie ... the general concensus, I believe, is up to the 8th book is pretty good reading ... Happy reading!

Charlotte (Buried in Books) | 386 comments I have 2 books left to go with Sookie, but as I already know who she ends up with, I just can't be bothered to read the last 2.

I've got a year and a half challenge to finish by the end of June, then I'll tackle them.

Fran | 4 comments The Iron Knight This is what I am reading now. In the Fable world there are two kingdoms Winter and Summer. Summer King has a daughter in the Mundy World who later on in the story comes into the Fable world. I can't say too much because I don't want to spoil it. This is the 4th book of this series and I am loving it. While I am reading it, I feel like I am living in a completely different world. Brilliant book. :)

Katherine | 7 comments Right now I'm reading Deadline by Sandra Brown, but just finished an awesome dark romantic urban fantasy book called Undertow by a husband and wife team called S.M. Stelmack. Can't recommend them enough.

Undertow Undertow (The UnderCity Chronicles #1) by S.M. Stelmack

They also wrote another book call Gina Takes Bangkok. Sounds like the name of a porn movie, but its a really quirky romantic Asian crime drama that's got an urban fantasy feel. Hard to pigeon hole it, but I'd recommend it, especially if you like your stories edgy and spicy.

Gina Takes Bangkok Gina Takes Bangkok (The Femme Vendettas #2) by S.M. Stelmack

Christine, does your library carries audiobook? This is the MUST LISTEN series. I loved Roarke's Irish accent, Eve's wit, Peabody's compassion, etc.
