I really didn't like Phury's story, and it was disappointing because I liked him so much before his book. I hated that imaginary guy he talked to (can't remember what he called him) Every time he talked to him this is what I pictured Photobucket

I haven't started Rehv's book yet. I've also decided to take a BDB break but when I do continue with the series I'll be reading the BDB insiders guide before Rehv's book. I'm excited for John's book, can't wait for more Qhuinn and Blay moments. :)

Yeah, I really didn't care for what JR Ward did woth Phury's story. It ruined my image of Phury and I never really liked him the same way after that.

TOTALLY agree with you there, P.A. I just couldn't stand those imaginary moments Phury has throughout the book either. I repeat, it was my least favorite book so far. And now I just got up the courage to start Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill . Let's see where it leads to. :)

Goldingurl | 83 comments the thing about the wizard is she was trying to make people see how self tortured he is he blamed him self for everything (his parents, z, everything became his fault in his eyes) to the point of giving this "voice" a face a name and a world to live in.... i understood the self blame and see where she meant to go with it but i do think she should have gone about it in a better way or at very least explain the origins of it all better so people weren't so angry about it.

If you liked Rhev in this book, you'll love him in Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward . He's my first love after Edward. I picked this book up due to the cover, it was also my first BDB and first adult PNR...I was totally taken and hasn't looked back.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I just finished First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost ...I was a bit disappointed. I love Spade and thought a book about him had a lot of potential, but it was squandered in this book...both him and Denise drove me nuts in the first half of this book....I think I love him/her, but they could possibly love me...could they...no they couldn't....ugh!!

But now I'm super excited because I finally got Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4) by Darynda Jones in the mail today!! So I will take a short break from Jeaniene Frost and check in with Charley.

Chelle, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Slammed. But I thought Point of Retreat wasn't necessary. It rehashed info, and could have been a novella. I just don't feel that it really advanced the story. But Slammed is a great, great great fead!!

@Crazymore: Make sure you read the novella called Alpha & Omega: A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf before you read Cry Wolf. The background really sets up book 1 well. I believe it is also in the On The Prowl anthology.

I am actually enjoying Point of Retreat but I totally want to "kilt" a certain ex-girlfriend.

This is actually one series were I haven't read all of them just because they hardly ever add to the story but they are nice if you just need a quick Cat and Bones fix and don't have time for a whole book.

Christine | 1127 comments I'm about halfway through the audio of Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson, #1) by Molly Harper and I am really enjoying this book. Just the right blend of humor and smart characters. I think I may have a crush on Gabriel Nightengale.

I'm also reading Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers, #1) by Tara Sivec . It's truly hysterical at times, I've laughed so hard I cried a few times. But at other times it tries too hard to be funny or resorts to what is (for me) unnecessary vulgarity in an effort to be funny. Overall, it's still an entertaining read.

I'm only at 26% but I'm starting to think that the hype was a bit too high.
It's a nice read but it comes after I read City of Ghosts, Downside, and I think it's suffering from it!
All the books I'm reading after are not gripping my attention. Maybe I should just stick with Downside until the end!
