Delaney Reimers (delaneyakafrog) | 347 comments Finished Fury (Otherkin, #1) by Anya Bast last night and started Tranquility (Otherkin, #2) by Anya Bast earlier today. It wasn't to bad, especially for a free ebook from Amazon. But just don't think short story are for me unless they go with a series I am reading.

Got my copy of Guardian Of Fate (Fate #1) by L.J. Kentowski in the mail today. It's a new release and I won a signed copy. I was so excited. Just started it, I'm on chapter 4 and all ready not wanting to put it down. That's a good sign, I think, hope it keeps up!

I'm reading the first book in the series right now. Almost done with it and i love it! I usually just read pnr & uf but I saw so many people hear talking about it I had to try it. I didn't read any reviews and no clue what it was about so I was a bit surprised by it all. It has sucked me in just like Twilight did. I'm not that big a fan of young adult books so I love this even more.

Cmkage | 231 comments I'm currently reading Kitty Goes to Washington (Kitty Norville, #2) by Carrie Vaughn . It's the second in the series. I liked Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Kitty Norville, #1) by Carrie Vaughn , mostly because it didn't quite finish the way I had expected. So I'm still trying to decide if I like the direction this series is going or not.

Book 2 also ended quite differently than I thought it would, and she mixes things up even more in book 3. Not at all where I thought she was taking it after the set up in book 1.

message 20077: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I just finished Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth . I liked it, although I can't quite articulate why. The writing style initially turned me off, and for the longest time I didn't see any of the characters as particularly likable. And yet every time I picked it up, I found myself sucked in and waiting to see what would happen, when the flaws in the fractions would finally be revealed. Now to wait for books two and three.....

I loved Chassie, Trevor and Edgard's book too. Even though I would have been happy for Chassie and Trevor bc they both deserved so much happiness...but once Trevor came into the picture, that's when you realized three were soooo much better than two.

OMG! I felt the same way.I ended up rereading the first one again. I was totally sucked into the world of Fifty. It would be great if the author wrote another book from his point of view. There were so many things that he did or felt that we have no idea what it was. Even the people he knew, you wonder what was up.

You will love them. I loved all the action mixed in with the mystery and romance. Just very fast paced fun stories. I just finished the second one Jabril (Vampires in America, #2) by D.B. Reynolds in less than a day. One little tip you want to get Jabril (Vampires in America, #2) by D.B. Reynolds Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds together because there is a cliffhanger. And I am so glad I didn't have to wait. Hope you love them :)

Katya | 645 comments I am sure I could be dead-in-the-water wrong here, but....

J.R. Ward loves to write BDB Warriors as torn when falling in love with someone. They always have some other agenda that they are battling when finding someone...except Rhage & Butch....

She is always writing her heros having to overcome some stumbling block before letting the feelings in. Quite often they don't get what they think they need and get something else instead....

(view spoiler) And now we wonder about Quinn....

I have a feeling that Ward is going to hook her up with Layla. I mean imagine he spends book upon book salivating after Blay only to find his true love right under his nose?

I'm just saying...it could happen.

I really like this series, but I am tired of the whole Rachel/Ivy thing, too. Every time I think Rachel has established where she stands on the issue, and we're going to move on, we end up revisiting it. Again. Let's move on already.

That book was my least favorite of the series. I've read all of them and the last couple of books finally seem to put the Ivy/Rachel thing to rest. I am 50/306 pages into it and yawn....not liking it very much. I think the heroine is annoying... and boring and Raphael thinks too highly of himself. Maybe I will change my mind as I read.

I also think my own problems with reading books about demons and angels is interfering with me enjoying this.
