Mai Lewis Buwee (millyb) | 30 comments Vampires in America by D.B. Reynolds is a wonderful and delightful series, currently reading Duncan (the 5th in the series), along with Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione (I've already commented Ms. Ione book). Ms. Reynolds does not hold back with her styles and her vamps are women who loved paranormal wet dreams.

Duncan is going to be a December read for me. I can't wait.

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 241 comments Working my way through Archangel's Blade (Guild Hunter, #4) by Nalini Singh . Even though I like it, it feels too much like Angel Blood redone putting Dmitri as Raphael and Honor as Elena and changing the story line a bit leaving the same underlying issues.

I think I'm going back to the Demonica series. I have yet to listen to (audio books) Wraith's story. The narrator is given bad marks which is why I haven't read yet. I don't have time for another print book right now. So I might suffer through bad narration as I hear Wraith is the best of them all.

I love the Demonica books. I just read the 1sy one last month for the reading challenge and then I went out and bought the rest of the series. Hoping to fit them into next months challenge and the rest of the BDB books too. Loved Wraith!

OMG I'm so happy you loved it!!! Yay!!! I was totally in love with Spade at first but now my heart belongs to Ian. lol (Although my one true love is Vishous from the BDB). By the way, if you like Ian, then you should really check out The Bite Before Christmas (Argeneau, #15.5; Night Huntress, #6.5) by Lynsay Sands . The C&B story is great and it features lots of Ian.

Mencheres' book is awesome! Let me know what you think!

I'm also really excited about Vlad's books. It's funny because it took me a while to warm up to Vlad (since Bones doesn't like him lol) but Vlad has grown on me so I can't wait to read his story. :) Of course it's Ian's book that I really, really, really want!

message 17623: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments Totally agree, Rachel. The short in the Bite Before Christmas was Jeaniene Frost back to her best. I thought the previous book One Grave at a Time was a bit lack lustre. I think Jeaniene is slowly redeeming bad boy Ian and his spin off when ever she writes it will be great.

It is quite interesting. These brothers are very alpha and so at odds with themselves and each other and this poor girl is in the middle. I really love the complexity of the story.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 114 comments Marilyn wrote: "There's going to be a spin-off on Ian? I knew there was with Vlad but hadn't heard about Ian. "

Yes, but it will probably be just one stand alone book like Spade & Mencheres. JF has said Ian's not ready to settle down yet - he loves women too much right now. She said if she were to write his book right now, it would just consist of violence and loads of sex. lol

Lover Awakened is probably my favorite in the series. I love Zsadist's story. I only just discovered there is a novella you can read right after #3 called Father Mine Zsadist and Bella's Story (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6.5) by J.R. Ward and it's an extension of Lover Awakened. You're going to love this one

LOL. My thoughts exactly!

I see a lot of people reading the October Daye series.. I think that's what it is called. I may have to read that soon. Seems like a lot of people like it.

I just finished The Pledge (The Pledge, #1) by Kimberly Derting . I have tons of other books unread on my Kindle, but I really want to read Zane's Redemption (Scanguards Vampires, #5) by Tina Folsom next. I finally got Hunting Human (Prime Legacy, #1) by Amanda E. Alvarez so I'm excited for that. And I got a hockey book as well :0)

Julie | 188 comments Reading Transfer of Power (Mitch Rapp, #1) by Vince Flynn , which is book 1 of the Mitch Rapp series. Not a pnr but wanted a change of pace with some action. I realized I needed a change when I went to read Running Scared (Sentinel Wars, #3) by Shannon K. Butcher and Lexi was bugging the @#$@ outta me on the first page. Also reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs , don't normally read bestseller's that aren't from authors or series I read, but this was in the library and decided to try it...quite intersting so far.
