Totally agree with you when it comes to Raphael, he's alpha in every sense. Still, I adore Bluebell.

I couldn't get through Shadowland. I had enjoyed the first two books in the series, but by the third book it seemed like the same problems were just being drug out for far too long. I was disappointed with it.

Delaney Reimers (delaneyakafrog) | 347 comments Just Finished the 5th and 6th Morganville Vampire books. Now trying to decide between Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate , Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward , or Embrace the Highland Warrior (Connor Clan, #2) by Anita Clenney Not sure which I want to start with first. Think I will wait on BDB as I will probably want to dive into the next one as soon as I'm done with it.

message 17357: by Sheree (new)

Sheree I'm reading At Grave's End Finally started last night but I was exhausted ^ had to put it down half way through second chapter, I didn't want to though, I might dedicate a few hours to it seeing as I have a late start tomorrow

Blue Eyed Vixen | 18 comments I'm reading Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin.....I'm pleasantly surprise after my recent Stephanie Plum disappointment, which I have yet to determine if the cause was the mind-gratingly annoying audio-speaker or the style which seemed to lack body, substance or any pace except forward full-throttle comparative to a PeeWee 50 stuck on powerband.
I'm feeling much more satisfied with Ms Rardin or perhaps I'm just developing a taste for vampire assassins....oh yum yumm.

It must be experienced to be believed. No description will do it justice.

You'll have to read the Night Huntress books to see. It is totally worth the read--it's my favorite series. Chapter 32 happens in book 2 and after you read it, you will fall even more in love with Bones.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Komal, here is a quote taken right before Chapter 32. This is Cat the heroine speaking to Bones:

“Do it your way, but I suggest another one. You could go ahead and beat her bloody,
or…you could give me such loud, screaming orgasms that the sound of them blisters her ears. If you have any former-whore-turned-promiscuous-vampire tricks you’ve been holding back, well, bring them on. I only have one stipulation: You’d better outperform any service you gave to her or anyone else, because if I don’t wake up tomorrow red in the face from embarrassment at what you did to me, I’ll be disappointed.”

Classic. I am doing a re-read of books 1 & 2 this month. I can't wait to read that chapter again.

Thanks PA I just wanted to know if it was a sex scene or not :) I did recently finish book one in the Night Huntress series but unfortunately I just didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to. I'm going to give book 2 a try and see if I like it better. But thanks for filling me in...I will no longer be clueless when "chapter 32" is mentioned :)

People really do mention it a lot--I've even heard that there are t-shirts that make reference to chapter 32. I personally enjoyed book 2 much more than book 1. We all have different tastes and likes. I'll be interested if you read it to see if you like book 2 better.

It's starting out that way. It's taking place in a convent with a nun as one of the main characters. I usually don't mind the religious and supernatural when they combine as long as there is some dark mystery. I am not seeing that yet and the characters so far aren't too likeable. I think I'll give it a few more chapters and if it doesn't pick up then I'll call it quits.
