What are you reading right now?

I couldn't get through Shadowland. I had enjoyed the first two books in the series, but by the third book it seemed like the same problems were just being drug out for far too long. I was disappointed with it.

This was my first read from Rachel Vincent and it won't be the last. I'm trying to clear my desk for this

I have Stray on my to-read list, too...hopefully soon :)

I'm feeling much more satisfied with Ms Rardin or perhaps I'm just developing a taste for vampire assassins....oh yum yumm.

Enjoy!! That's one of my favorite series! :) (Keep in mind, The Darkest Night - the first full novel - is a slow start but they really pick up after that.)

If you really want him to read it--let him read chapter 32. LOL

It must be experienced to be believed. No description will do it justice.

You'll have to read the Night Huntress books to see. It is totally worth the read--it's my favorite series. Chapter 32 happens in book 2 and after you read it, you will fall even more in love with Bones.

Yes it's a really good sex scene.

“Do it your way, but I suggest another one. You could go ahead and beat her bloody,
or…you could give me such loud, screaming orgasms that the sound of them blisters her ears. If you have any former-whore-turned-promiscuous-vampire tricks you’ve been holding back, well, bring them on. I only have one stipulation: You’d better outperform any service you gave to her or anyone else, because if I don’t wake up tomorrow red in the face from embarrassment at what you did to me, I’ll be disappointed.”

Classic. I am doing a re-read of books 1 & 2 this month. I can't wait to read that chapter again.

Thanks PA I just wanted to know if it was a sex scene or not :) I did recently finish book one in the Night Huntress series but unfortunately I just didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to. I'm going to give book 2 a try and see if I like it better. But thanks for filling me in...I will no longer be clueless when "chapter 32" is mentioned :)

I just reread book 4. I forgot how good it is.

Even though I have like 10 bks waiting for me...I'm thinking of joining you to re-read NH for next month too. Especially when we'll be driving back to Chicago for the holidays. Merry Christmas to me!

Yes, remember it perfectly but thanks for the recap.

People really do mention it a lot--I've even heard that there are t-shirts that make reference to chapter 32. I personally enjoyed book 2 much more than book 1. We all have different tastes and likes. I'll be interested if you read it to see if you like book 2 better.

extremely awesome sex scene :D

Where did you get the book? Destined i mean..

I plan on catching up on the Women of the Otherworld series, the Mercy Thompson series, and the October Daye series this month.

Thanks for the recommendation of these started this weekend, cant get enough of them

I started reading Ill Wind, then got Night huntress so I put it down again & then Last Breath came in, finished that & onto the 3rd Night Huntress lol I will eventually get back to reading it.....

I've never read it but based on the description I don't think I would. Is there a lot of religious aspects to the story?

It's starting out that way. It's taking place in a convent with a nun as one of the main characters. I usually don't mind the religious and supernatural when they combine as long as there is some dark mystery. I am not seeing that yet and the characters so far aren't too likeable. I think I'll give it a few more chapters and if it doesn't pick up then I'll call it quits.

Totally agree with you when it comes to Raphael, he's alpha in every sense. Still, I adore Bluebell.
