Back to the Undead series now.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I'm about halfway through Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning still a little divided about it, but I'm getting into the story.
Also, I was telling my mom about The Mummy by Anne Rice and I decided to re-read the story since it's been so long. I forgot how much I LOVE Anne Rice.

Thanks GR friends for your words of encouragement. I read several books. I just finished Cowgirls Don't Cry by Lorelei James and finishing Dangerous Highlander (Dark Sword, #1) by Donna Grant . Both were very good. I am nervous about reading One Grave at a Time. Not hearing the best reviews. This is sad because the last book was not the best either.

I love Lorelei James, her Rough Riders series is awesome. I just finished One Grave at a Time and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't to the standard of the first 4 books. That being said, I still think it's worth the read.

Christine, thanks for your input. I'm still stalling due to my dragon's afterglow. This is the deciding factor. I'll do Sentinel Wars next, especially now that I have 3 of their books. Thanks again!

Yeah Pansy, I'm glad you're back, safe and got a couple books done. And wow, you're ahead of me with RR. I'm still waiting for Jessie's book.

How's Dangerous Highlander compare to KMM's Highlander series?

BTW, tears shed in Gwenvael's story was a total surprise for me but don't let it throw youf off. You're dealing with Gods, dragons and witches, HEA is just around the corner. It's a great read. If you liked the 1st book, you'll love this one.

If your taliking about Chasin' Eight (Rough Riders, #11) by Lorelei James that was my favorite in that series.
I know what you mean about the euphoria. I think what makes it hard though is that it's written in the first person, wheras Ward writes from a lot of POV's. I love the first person writing--but there's only so far you can go with the story. The problem is Bones and Cat have come up against every road block they can in their relationship, there's no more conflict, and that's what made us love the first 4 so much. She has to get over her predjudice of vamps in the first, they broke up and are getting back together in the 2nd(she also has to get past tons of exes)he dies in the third, and then they break up in the 4th. There's not much left to do as far as their relationship goes, that's why I think the genre of this series has gone from PNR/Urban Fantasy blend to strictly Urban Fantasy. But the plot and writing is still fantastic.

Thanks, I think I have some perspective because I write in the first person and it's hard. I debated when I started my book, I knew the third person POV is easier, but I always feel more connected to the main character when it's written in the first person.
You should keep your eye open on Amazon for the novella's, they'll often put them on for free. You can download kindle for PC(free) and read on your computer if you don't have a kindle. Amazon is great with giveaways and specials. I don't know if they've put the RR series on a giveaway yet, but there are tons. That's how I got Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires, #1) by Tina Folsom and I ended up loving the series.

I'm up-to-date with this series. I must admit the whole series has a low simmer yet there were enough hiccups of interest & excitement in the storyline, the plot and the characters that kept me engrossed, yearned and wanted more...just my take this series.

Psychic FBI Agent investigating a serial murderer. In comes the main suspect Nathan Donovan.....She is mesmerized and tries to read his mind....he is on to her.

The characters are natural & believable. Love the relationship between she and her partner too. I feel as though I am in the heroine's shoes and looking at everything through her eyes.

Don't want to put it down!

I just finished Dangerous Highlander (Dark Sword, #1) by Donna Grant . It was really good. It reminds me more of LOTU. Where the lords is more mythical based, Dangerous Highlander is based on the Druids, which is closely related to KMM's Highlander series. I am interested in reading the next book. i would like to see how this turns out. It is worth the placement on your TBR list.

I believe the Highlander series is before the Fever series. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But yes, they are by the same author - Karen Marie Moning. In the 5th book in the Fever series, some characters from the Highlander series show up and they talk about their significant others, so that's why I assume they come before the Fever series (time-frame wise).
