Pam G (pgarey) I joined up with Audible.com, which is owned by Amazon, I think. I buy the MP3 version, which downloads directly to my iTunes library, then I sync it to my iPod. And now I have discovered that there's an app for Audible, so I can now listen to books on my iPhone. I believe the site supports different devices, I just chose iPod cause that's what I use. Hope that helps.

Debi (debisattic) | 157 comments audio books on cd also available at local library - great if you want to try a new author/series without investment. A new digital library has been added to my local system that allows me to "check out" e books and audio that can be downloaded to pc or other devices. I get an email to download when it's available for check out...cool. I listen to audio after my fav books in case I missed something. Listening to Skin Trade on PC and Outlander (cd) in the car.

I just don't want to miss out on anything that's going to tie to Shadowfever! I like me some historical romance anyway, so it wasn't too much of a chore.

Tracy T. | 252 comments I finished both Magic to the Bone (Allie Beckstrom, #1) by Devon Monk and The Devil Inside (Morgan Kingsley, #1) by Jenna Black . I liked Magic to the Bone (Allie Beckstrom, #1) by Devon Monk a lot better and can't wait to read the rest of the series. The Devil Inside (Morgan Kingsley, #1) by Jenna Black had great world building, but the heroine was very annoying and the whole "S&M is disgusting" that appeared in almost every chapter felt more the the author's opinion rather than the characters.

Next up is Eve of Darkness (Marked, Book 1) by S.J. Day .

The characters are from the Mercy Thompson series but I have to say I like Charles and Anna - she was introduced in the anthology

On the Prowl (Alpha and Omega Briggs) (Inhuman Wilks) (Buying Trouble Chance) (Mona Lisa Betwining Sunny) by Patricia Briggs
even better than the stories of Mercy Thompson. The first real book would be Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs

message 10276: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Finished Sins of the Night (Dark-Hunter, #7) by Sherrilyn Kenyon last night. Not as good as the last one, but I still enjoyed Alexion and Danger's story.

Now reading Scoundrel (The Blades of the Rose, #2) by Zoe Archer . Not that far in yet, but I already like Bennett very much.

Lady Allison For anyone looking to start the Alpha & Omega series, even though Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs is technically the first book, it makes WAY more sense if you read the prequel in On the Prowl (Alpha and Omega Briggs) (Inhuman Wilks) (Buying Trouble Chance) (Mona Lisa Betwining Sunny) by Patricia Briggs first!

Lol, ah my friend, you know me so well. Remember Bo in Shelly Laurenston's Beast Behaving Badly (#5 in the Pride series) and how he blames everything on his mane? Lol, well I totally blame my possessiveness on my Only Child Syndrome. Lol ;p

Keri | 158 comments Pansy wrote: "Everyone forgive Keri. She is a little possessive of Adam. He is scrumptous."

And I have to agree w/you, Adam is scrumptous (although judging by the poll on KMM's thread for the most sexy character in her books, there are MANY more GR members who agree w/us on this) ;)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) There's so many good men in her series! Although, it's hard to top Barrons.

I was reading so many books on my ereader that I totally neglected all the dead tree books I had stocked up. I'm slowing making my way through that growing pile now.

I liked the series but the first book was not my favorite by far. They give you a nice back drop to her other FEVER series about the fae and the thinning of the vail between our world and theirs. I think there are 3 or 4 books about the different MacKeltar men taxed with protecting the Seelie Sacred objects. Those are my favoirte and they are mentioned in the FEVER series and a MacKeltar nephew is in the FEVER books. It's a nice tie in...

I have to agree. I read the whole series last month and I thought that she matured in each book and the action kept me on the edge of my seat so to speak. It was a quick read and very entertaining.

I am in the middle of book 7 of the Hollow's series and I agree Jenks is by far my favorite.... "Tink's Titties"... I find myself using his 'pharses'.. He is so funny... Rachel keeps getting herslef in deeper and deeper but she is trying to learn as so goes and is real about it. I like that about her.

She is annoying and self centered and impulsive but like any series they have to start somewhere and grow up a little. She does and the series is really interesting wtih other 'creatures/shifter beings' and a little less whinning by Faythe but not much.
