. Loved this book! Singh has created a such an unique world. And she has brought a touch of humanity to Raphael, which is so intriguing. Only downside is I have to wait until early 2011 for the next book in this series.Now starting
I think I am going to start Death's Mistress...trying to keep the momentum going after finishing Midnight's Daughter--I was not that impressed with it as a whole. I liked Dory though and loved L.C.
Just finished the second Guild Hunter book. Fabulous! Nalini Singh is pure gold, don't you think? I love where she's going with Raphael's Seven.
Have also discovered Rachel Caine's Weather Warden series, which I would never have picked as a winner because, while the Morganville Vamp series is compelling reading, it's so....young. You know?
But the WW series, two thumbs up. And UF is not even my genre, but there you are.

last night (finally, didn't care for it, I'd give 2.5*). Stayed up late to finish just so I could be done with it, then started
and stayed up even later. Love Ann Aguirre!
It's hard for me to go by books since I read them so fast. So I'll go by series instead.I finally picked up Charlene Harris "Sookie Stackhouse" Series. Im on book 2 of 8. I'm really looking forward to watching the show "True Blood" after I get done reading :)
I previously just got through reading all of P.C Cast's Adult Books (Goddess Summoning 1-6) (Parthalon 1-5 plus Elphame's Choice and Brigid's Quest) Plan on reading her young adult series at a later time.

This one is in one of February challenges books though. I'll wait to read your review until I finish it.

Ur totally right Floozy--I just love calling someoe "Floozy" to their "face"...Anyhoo, I am going to give Touch the dark another shot, but no, I was not a fan. So, I think Carolyn should go for it-for sure. It might just be me...it got excellent reviews.

I started and finished Vampire Academy yesterday and started reading Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) last night and finished it today so about to move on to Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) while i make dinner

. I gave it three stars. I think I would have rated it higher if I had liked the main character, Jackie, a bit more. She was kind of annoying. I liked the story, the world Myles created, and the two supporting guys, Noah and Zane, enough that I plan on giving the next book in the series a shot.Now starting [image error]

I just finished Happy Hour at Casa Dracula by Maria Acosta. I found it fun and witty. Very enjoyable!

I second On the Edge for Danielle's recommendations. Excellent book!I just finished Ilona Andrews' Magic Bites and am starting Karen Chance's Claimed by Shadow.
Reading Club Dead and noticing how "new moon-ish" it is. Only thing is Sookie doesn't seem that depressed with Alcide and Eric to keep her company. And there's a Goblin. that's all I'm saying.

Read recently: I quite liked Jeri Smith-Ready's Wicked Game, though the hero boy vamp is a leetle on the dim side. But recommended for anyone who likes their heroines with a slightly wry sense of humour.
I find Marjorie Liu so hit and miss. Some of the Dirk & Steeles are so well written, and then you get this

Just finished "Swallowing Darkness" and "Flirt". Have "Karma Girl" waiting. Was wondering if anyone is reading the Anita Blake graffic novels and thinks they're good. Are they straight from the book but with pictures? Does the same artist work on all the books?

I'm about halfway through The Dark Divine and am really enjoying it. Depending on how the second half goes, it might be a 5* YA book. :)
I'm switching between The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance and The Mammoth book of Vampire Romance 2 but I usually can't read anthologies all at once (let alone two different ones) so I'll probably go on toEmbrace the Night Eternal or Demonfire then go back again:)

im reading kiss of life by daniel waters its the second book in the series. there good so far i mean zombies are not as good as reading about vampires but some of the storylines are quite good
I have discovered Viola Grace. This is an evil find because her backlist is huge. I am watching my wallet empty lol. Her books are short, light, and fun. She has very good culture and world building which I love. Each book is a little incomplete and not as developed as I would like but if you read the series of books everything comes together with more depth. Her writing is good.
I love finding a new writer.
