Okay, for all of you over the last couple years that have encouraged and at times prodded me about writing a blog... well I finally started one! If you've liked my stories and whatnot on here, I'd love to have you come check it out. It's new, so only one post as of today, but do come anyway! I'd be so honored. http://whichwaydidshego.blogspot.com/

Thank you everyone whom has inspired me to this. I'm looking forward to it, come what may!

I thought that if anyone else might want to share their blog info, we should have a place for that... so do tell! This is the place!

Sweet! This is so cool! I am following y'all, except, well, you Anna. I think your blog looks absolutely amazing... but I simply cannot grasp what you are meaning what with it being in Polish! Sorry!

Lori, I totally was excited when I saw you on there following me, but didn't see that you had a blog yourself for some reason. Hooray! This will be fun!

Anyone else out there? Keep 'em coming!

Oh, and Dottie. That's a good question about energy, what with the new beau keeping me on the phone all night. Not sure.

message 23: by Katri (new)

Katri (Valancy) | 107 comments Anybody else on Tumblr? I've been playing around with it lately, trying to get a feel of how good it is for what kind of blogging... It definitely seems very handy for posting various kind of media (photos, embedded videos, links...) and seems neat enough for text entries, too. I just started a general one where I'll share all sorts of things I enjoy - with the unifying theme of beauty, or somehow creating beauty in life. It's here: http://ladyvalancy.tumblr.com I'm not yet sure how much I'll use it for other things than sharing photos, videos, artworks etc. that I enjoy, but there'll surely be the occasional book recommendation or theatre review, too!

Another Tumblr blog I've had for slightly longer is devoted to my favourite character, Alfred, in my favourite musical Tanz der Vampire. A very popular European musical, but not really known much outside Europe, so I'm not sure how much interest it will be to most members of this group - but well, there are pictures of pretty boys! That's always good! So: http://foralfred.tumblr.com

message 24: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 1 comments Katri - I've had a tumblr for the last few years and love it. The short post format makes it seem like less of a commitment than other sorts of blog hosting sites. Also I really love that you can follow fellow tumblrs and I find I get a lot of interesting tidbits about stuff going on in my area that way. (I live in Baltimore) It's also a nice way to keep in touch with friends who live far away in a daily way since talking on the phone everyday really isn't realistic.

message 28: by Percy (last edited Mar 25, 2010 07:11AM) (new)

Percy Pigsbottom I've just looked at a few people's blogs and found them really interesting. I haven't got a blog myself but thinking I may have to start. You have inspired me!

Most of the blogs I read are by Americans who seen to like UK TV series. This seems so strange to me as a Brit. I never knew how many British programmes where shown in America, let alone be popular. It's the American shows which seem to be the most popular over here and have the most success.

Saying that I only discovered The Gilmore Girls a few months ago (I then watched every episode in the space of a few weeks!. I just don't understand why it hasn't been a success over here and that so few Brits have even heard of it.

message 29: by Anna (new)

Anna (lilfox) | 199 comments I'm great fan of Gilmore Girls. I watched it when I was in high school.

whichwaydidshego | 1996 comments Mod
Ack! Nicola, I'm moving over there soon, and a world without Gilmore Girls I would not like! LOL

You know, those of us that watch the British shows generally have to hunt them down - libraries or downloads or friends or buying region-free DVD players and ordering from the UK. Like that. Our public television does bless us with some shows, and we have a stations called BBC America that does different shows, including ones from ITV and other networks over there... but it doesn't offer as much as you might think. So when we find something fabulous, we seek it out.

Like Spooks. I love it. BBC America showed the first few series then stopped. Come ON! So I find ways of watching it.

But those of us that like your shows sort of find each other on here and in the blogosphere... so perhaps that's why you found several blogs liking them! We like good programming, and Gilmore Girls is that!

FYI, right now I'm addicted to everything Stephen Fry. So it's all about British shows at the moment, isn't it?!

My blog is nurseatkins.blogspot.com. It's not much - just a way of keeping up with what I read and following others. I haven't posted in a while because I've been moving and starting a new job. But now that I'm here and settled in - book world here I come.
