I'm about to start
I read the prologue and it was cute and funny and it sounds like it'll be a great story!
I've really enjoyed the Destiny series, Gwen. What did you think of Sugar Creek? I liked it, but it's not myf avorite.
Sugar Creek was good, but not as good as One Reckless Summer for me. The animosity between Mike & Rachel really was getting on my nerves. It seemed they had nothing in common except in the bedroom, when they really had a lot in common. It just took such a long time to get to it. I suppose that's because they were such complicated personalities. I didn't think they'd ever say "I love you" to each other. The end of the book was almost in sight and I kept waiting to hear it. When it finally came, I was llke .... at last! Thank you very much! The backstory between Edna & Giovanni was very good and I looked forward to it. I couldn't wait to find out how she acquired the apple orchard. I keep hoping that Anna Romo is somewhere alive and that there'll be a book about her and a reunion with her family. It just broke my heart that Mike grieved so over her. All in all I liked it, but it took some time for me to get into it. The updates on the other characters was welcome too.
Whisper Falls is the next book in the series. For some reason, I'm really looking forward to it. I guess it maybe because of the mysterious Lucky Romo. Since he's been gone all of that time, I'm very, very curious about him and how he turned out.
To get the cover image, when you find the book you want to add, look down at the bottom of that box and be sure you choose Cover.
Whisper Falls is my favorite book. I really related to the heroine, and we learn so much about Mike and Lucky. And I THINK, but I'm not sure, it's just ME wishing... that Ann makes an appearance. BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG.
After reading an excerpt from Whisper Falls, I was thinking that I would like it a lot. I figured we'd get lots more on Mike & Lucky. Like you I might be wishing that Anna is somewhere alive and that she appears. I sure hope she does. It would be great after all of that time if Mike could get some peace from the grief of losing his sister. I think it would make for a really good book if Ms. Blake could come up with it. The biggest thing would probably be unraveling the mystery of Anna's disapperance. Have you read Holly Lane? I know I'm jumping forward here. I haven't read Whisper Falls yet, but I just find myself not being interested in reading this one. I've never thought of Sue Ann as being all that interesting.

I've heard a lot of people say that about Sue Ann, but keep in mind, as a married woman in earlier books, her character wasn't really developed. But, those same people are now saying that they LOVE her, LOVE Holly Lane, and were blown away by how good it is.
You're right, her character wasn't fully developed, so we really didn't know much about her. Well, I'm glad to hear the positive comments about her, because I wasn't getting any incentive to read Holly Lane at all. My curiosity wasn't even piqued. Now it is.
I need to read it. I bought it on release days, couldn't wait to get my hands on it, then never even cracked a page.
I just finished a re-read of
, loved it just as much the 2nd time around. I'm finishing
, love the things the heroine says. I keep putting slips of paper in the book to keep track of my favorites.
Don't feel bad Dhestiny. I've bought books on release day and they've sat on my bookshelf. I don't necessarily read them when I buy them unless it's just a book that I really, really want to read. What happens with me is that they sit there and then one day it's as if a certain one of them will call to me, then I'll pick it up and really get into it.
That's how it usually works for me, too, Gwen. Plus, on release date I check Target and Walmart because their books are always 25% off, so on the average $7.99 paperback is $5.99
