Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) Um, I just finished In The Midnight Rain by Barbara Samuel and lOVED it. Highly recommended. Also finished Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R. Ward which I really liked even though it's only my second BDB (I know, I know...).

I am starting Naked in Death (In Death #1) by J.D. Robb and finishing In the Bleak Midwinter (Rev. Clare Fergusson, #1) by Julia Spencer-Fleming

Laura (filoviridae) | 783 comments I finished The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory while gone on vacation and since I didn't have any unread books with me I'm re-reading Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery which was on my iPad. I started my next challenge book Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury when I got home.

message 3558: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) Laura, I reread Dandelion Wine every summer, it kills me every time. One of my all time favorite books.

Ha...I know! I couldn't really get past the slang in the first one so wrote them off completely, and then wound up getting LU from the library. Now I have changed my mind...so will have to start from the beginning...

Laura Landon (lauralandon) | 108 comments I just bought several Barbara Samuel books. You can buy almost all of them for 2.99 - that's ebook. She's an excellent writer.

***shakes head tearfully*** Darn, I read it!! How could you??? I think out of my thousands of books there are only about 5 that I hated that I would give away!! And duplicates of course!

DG, wish I could, but i'm moving to NY at the end of the summer, with a trip in July to set myself up.. So if it works and keeps on going, I'll be showing up in the future!!

Read Heart of Fire by Linda Howard yesterday, which was a fun read, although I found the last quarter a little disappointing compared to LH's other books, so 4*..

Now hesitating between Thunder and Roses (Fallen Angels, #1) by Mary Jo Putney for the SRC challenge (I only have 5 more books to read, lol), Texas Destiny (Texas Trilogy, #1) by Lorraine Heath because of all the hype it's been getting, or When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #1) by Lori Foster .. Choices, choices!

message 3564: by Laura (new)

Laura Landon (lauralandon) | 108 comments Melanie - let us know what you think of Texas Destiny when you finish. I'm hearing some really good things about it. Think I need to add it to my TBR shelf.

I have also seen this book around in a couple of my friends status. I have to be honest, and say that it has not crossed my mind to add them to me TBR list.

Is this a western historical Dhes??

Yes, it is. And Houston is an incredibly scarred, tortured hero. I just can't rave enough about this book.

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Finished rereading Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1) by Victoria Dahl and what a great book!!

I'm now a third of the way through Texas Destiny (Texas Trilogy, #1) by Lorraine Heath , and I am adoring it!!! Houston is so tortured!!

I've been putting off reading it for a bit, since I'm not a big fan of the "split between brothers" theme, but OMG I'm loving it!! Thank God I have the next two on my shelves!!

Melanie, I felt the exact same way!!!! I was so worried there'd be way too much anger and bitterness, but LH worked this story brilliantly!!!!

hahaha!! thats why i love u heaps!! ((((huuggs my Dhes!!)))) ;) u steer my path from imminent BS :p Now, thats a real friend right??

message 3583: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments That is the BEST kind of friend of all! LOL

Will is really a background kind of player. He's the sports reporter on the team and we don't hear much about him. It'd be nice if she brought him back somehow, but since he' already paired up, unless Lissa ran off with someone else, there'd not be much story for him.

message 3584: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1625 comments ahh!! yeah, i was trying to sort my brain for this guy.. but couldnt place him other than being HOT! AHHA (talking about shallow, eh?) but thats what they all kept referring him as.

i wonder if Holly would get a book.. beacause she is in EVERY book! but is not I-team..

Yes,best kind of friend i`ve got!! :) ((((huuggs)))

message 3585: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Yes, just today Pamela posted that Holly would get a book, but would likely be the last in the series.

Are you a member of the Pamela Clare Fan Club group here in Goodreads? That's where she posted some stuff today.

so how many books do you think remain for this series?? there is the photographer and mat..and well Tim.. but imagine that book LOl!!

Yes, im friends with her. Does that make a difference with the fan status??

One of her earlier works I think. You enjoyed Thunder and Roses- try some more of that series or the Bartered Bride or Silk and Secrets. If you haven't already of course- can't keep up with your reading pace!!!
