.Check out my review on Devil in Winter here. You'll get a kick out of it!

Finally started Lover Unleashed yesterday, but other things cut into my reading time, so I was only able to get through 27 pages. Argh!

"Autumn how did you like Kingdom of Dreams? It's my favorite JM historical.
Read
this evening, loved it (great Indiana Jones-type book with an actual storyline!!) and just finished
.. **sigh** Raphael just gets hotter and hotter!!:-D Can't wait for the next book to arrive in the mail:-D
Just started
I also just bought
at a Borders closing sale. I really hope I score in the batch I bought I miss reading really good books. *sigh* I usually don't buy books by authors I'm not familiar with so I took a risk. Hope it pays off.

[bookcover:T..."Elizabeth Hoyt usually writes great stuff, although her Legend of the Four Soldiers are not my personal favorites, I really liked the two you have (they're my two favorites in the series):-D
I also have The Hawk, but haven't read it yet:-D
Mshj wrote: "Well you look like you have some great choices on your owned but not read yet pile."I know! I settled on Play of Passion. I needed my PsyChangeling fix!
Just finished my reread of
.. **sigh** still as good as the first time I read it! I have so many series to reread, seeing as so many books just came out! I have to reread the Night Huntress, Feral Warriors, last two books in the BDB, Simply Irresistible, and the Demonica series, lol.. Lots of good books, but it's going to take me a while, lol!

[bookcover:T..."To Seduce A Sinner is a 5 star read for me!

Katherine, I had a pretty good idea of the book because I had read bits n pieces before. This was my last book of hers left fo me to read :( but it was a 5st as I thought it would be. She's the best!! I'm glad u like her too xxx

finished
it was beyond lame! starting
really hoping the reading gets better. also listening to
an amazing book thus far! i just cant get used to the audio format cus im falling asleep in between chapters LOL
Jennifer - The Indiana Jones feel is one of the things I love about it, especially the fact that there actually is a storyline! Usually historical Indiana Jones-themed romances get on my nerves because they tend to get a little too fantastical, but add in the element of magic, like in the Blades of the Rose, and shazam! a great story is born:-D
I nearly finish reading Highlander Unbound by Julia London. Its quite good and the start of another series.
Reread
last night, loved it just as much as the first time around:-) And starting
that arrived in the mail this morning:-D Yay!
Read a kindle freebie last night -
- it was pretty good, and worth every penny lol. Now I am trying to finish
- it's really good, but looong, and the book is enormous so I can't commute with it. So on my Kindle I'll be taking a much needed break from historicals with
.
I finished
last night and LOVED it! Can't wait for Archangel's Blade to come out! Definitely want to know more about Dmitri!Starting
, seems like it'll be good!
Finished
.. A little disappointed after the first book which I loved!! 3.5-4* for this book.. I hate the implications that Rafe will be important to Violet in the next book.. I love Jay! He is so sweet!!
Don't remember the last time I posted here.:)I finished Play of Passion which was really good and dnfed The Shack.
Now I'm reading Charmed, I'm Sure which I think I'll also dnf. I have a high tolerance for different type of heroes but I want them to have some balls and this one doesn't seem to have any.
I'm also listening to A Prisoner of Birth which is a modern version of The Count of Monte Cristo. Going really well!
I just finished reading
by Gaelen Foley, and I loved it! I'm thrilled, because her last book, IMO, was way too Indiana-Jonesy (and not in a good way for a HR) so I was a little anxious about how this one would turn out (since I loved all her other books).. Fabulous **sigh**! A perfect "reunited couple" plot:-D
Melanie, I didn't read the second b/c I didn't like the first. Maybe its mood related. I don't mind a little treasure hunting in my romance books. Maybe I should look at the second one. And the third. Oh, dear, am I in the mood to shop. Like, in a real bookstore. I don't think I should leave the house! LOL!

I'm LOVING it so far (about a third of the way through right now). Just got the ARC in the mail today and immediately started it. I adore everything Julia Quinn has written.
Man-oh-man, Christine! I thought
was out there for a second. My heart was pumping and I was ready to grab the car keys and run to the bookstore (any excuse). LOL!
Christine wrote: "I'm LOVING it so far (about a third of the way through right now). Just got the ARC in the mail today and immediately started it. I adore everything Julia Quinn has written."NICE! I have my reservations about this Smythe-Smith girls. When i read the Bridgerton series they were so dull.. the poor darlings LOL!! I have to see how JQ redeems them!

I actually can't remember her Spice trilogy at all (except for the characters), so I definitely need to dig them out for a reread!

I think I'll get the third from the library though especially as it's a 5* for you. I still regard the Knight Miscellany series as her best work. The Duke is one of my all time favourite books.
Carol - I adored The Duke! My fave by Ms Foley! I hope you'll enjoy MIE!:-DI started
this morning, which I don't think I'll finish before tomorrow.. Only 40pages in!

You mean the Smythe-Smith girls were dull? Cuz I certainly didn't think Colin Bridgerton was dull. :)
Lisa Kay wrote: "Oh, I think the series will be good!
"OMG! The Smythe-Smith girls are getting their own books? Now we'll know the truth behind those horrible musicales!!
I haven't felt like reading anything by Julia Quinn in a while...but I'll definitely read these ones.
And the cover is beautiful!
Okay, I finished
last night because I couldn't put it down. It was classic Julia Quinn, so of course I loved it. It was funny, witty and sort of like meeting up with an old friend. I felt like I've always known Honoria and Marcus and the entire Smythe-Smith family. And now I must read the Bridgertons series again.
If you want to read my full review, go here.
Christine, Couldn't put it down?! Oh goody! Read your wonderful review. Thanks for giving us a peek.
Melanie wrote: "I loved GF's Ascension and Knight Miscellany series!"Carol wrote: "I still regard the Knight Miscellany series as her best work."
Melanie & Carol, I loved the Knight Miscellany series (well, not The Duke as much as the others); my favorite was Lord of Ice★★★★★. I really like The Pirate Prince and gave it ★★★★★ Also like Prince Charming ★★★★ - though I need to re-read it, as I've forgotten most of it. Guess I should batch a hole in there and read Princess: first!
I just find it really puzzling why you all love Ms G Foley because the woman CANNOT WRITE. OK- that's off my chest- I've just received this one The Iron Rose -a lovely package when I arrived home on Friday evening after a long week. I've got a few chores then some chilled reading time.
Mshj wrote: "I just find it really puzzling why you all love Ms G Foley because the woman CANNOT WRITE. I actually don't pay that much attention to the writing, unless it's really blatantly terrible (which GF's isn't, IMO).. I much prefer to immerse myself in the story and characters, both of which Ms. Foley is a master of (again, this is my opinion:-p): I love feeling linked to main characters, and I didn't find that her writing detracted from my enjoyment of the plot..
Otherwise, I also need to get back to Marsha Canham. I've only read Through a Dark Mist but I loved it and have some other stuff by her, so I'll have to get back to her:-D
Mshj wrote: "I just find it really puzzling why you all love Ms G Foley because the woman CANNOT WRITE. OK- that's off my chest- I've just received this one The Iron Rose -a lovely package when ..."I have that book in my TBR! Maybe I should move it up and read it next week. :)
Mshj wrote: "I just find it really puzzling why you all love Ms G Foley because the woman CANNOT WRITE. OK- that's off my chest-"That's the beauty of GoodReads, Mshj! We all get to express (and rant) Our Opinions. :-) Pretty neat.
I've never read anything by Marsha Canham. I like pretty much anything; I think I'm willing to try it once, at least. I am tempted to get
as I like a swashbuckling heroine from time to time. Or would you suggest a different series of hers?
That's a great place to start Lisa Kay. That book is one of the most exciting historical romances I've ever read. It's superb!
Really, D.G.?! Okay! You ladies are going to twist my arm and make me go shopping today, aren't you?
LOL, Lisa Kay.The book has several battles at sea and they are so exciting! I was at the edge of my seat!
