Lol, my bad Mshj!:-) Well anyway I have a couple, so I'll try them:-D

On another hand, I just finished The Good Women of China Hidden Voices by Xinran , which was an amazing and heartwrenching book.. I can't believe I ever complained about anything in my life after reading the tales some of these women went through during the Cultural Revolution!!! 5* all the way!

Going to start Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh next:-) I need a break from the heartache left over from my last two books!

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Just finished Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh , recommended by Penney, and I LOVED it!!! I'm thrilled I have the next book on my shelves at home, but will try to wait till the third book gets here (I will order it tomorrow, lol) before starting it..
Fabulous book, and love the hero's name (same as my boyfriend's!).. Wasn't sure I'd actually love Raphael at first, but halfway through I started falling for him, and I loved that Elena gave him hell the whole way:-)

message 3223: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) So um...Seems like you plenty of you ladies are busy with those trash talkin vampire brothers and all, but looking to spend 99 cents for an awesome ebook? A Bed of Spices by Barbara Samuel looved it.

message 3224: by Julianna (new)

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments That was a fabulous book, Jennifer, and $0.99 is a steal. I paid nearly $20 for my OOP copy long before the e-book came out, but I still think it was worth every penny.

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I'm reading Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R. Ward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The UPS guy was kind enough to drop off my copy last night, but since I'm using it for April challenges, I can't start until Fri.

Sadly, I managed to irritate my hubby last night with my little obsession with the BDB. His friend has been ordering stuff for us through his Amazon Prime account, and I had him pre-order the book when I saw that it was guaranteed to arrive on the release date for Prime members. Well, when it hadn't arrived by 6pm last night, I was beginning to get very antsy, and called him to ask his friend to check the shipping status. They were driving home at the time, and when hubby walked in the door, the first thing he told me was that his friend asked if I was sure of the release date. Of course, my answer was something like, "Am I sure? This is the BDB we're talking about. How can you even ask me that?!!!!" Needless to say, I heard the UPS truck driving away about 15 minutes later, and hubby was exasperated that I'd bugged him and his friend and hadn't waited a little longer. At least, I know everyone here understands me.

MashJ | 733 comments I finished When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James . It was OK- a 3 star for me- light and funny but I wasn't very engaged by it. I may not have been in the right frame of mind when I read it though.

Now I'm reading The Wind and the Sea by Marsha Canham . As I may have mentioned before I am a total sucker for girl pirates.

I loved it. It was rather gory for a YA. I have no idea how they would make this PG13, lol. I want to see who they cast as Peeta and Gale.

message 3243: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) Right? Seems so gruesome for a PG-13 film, no matter how they rewrite, but apparently the author is involved which is always good...
