UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Autumn wrote: "ahh ok! Dhes! i have never tried Feehan.. hmm.. do you think i could start with that book?"

Oh, Autumn, that is such a tough question.

Here's the thing, this series is a spinoff of the Drake Sisters series and there are a lot of mentions of the Drake Sisters. As I was reading Water Bound, I kept thinking how I wish I had read Drake Sisters first so I could know who they were, their powers, their relationships, etc.

The thing is, I read the first Drake Sisters story, Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters, #1) by Christine Feehan and wasn't too impressed, but it's a short story and I am seldom impressed by shorts. Unless they're the kind of shorts you find on a man with muscular thighs and calves, then I'm very impressed...

but I digress...

So I'm kind of not sure what to tell you. I've decided to go back and try the Drake Sisters again before I read the next book in the Sea Haven series.

Now, I do love Feehan's Carpathians, Dark Prince (Carpathians, #1) by Christine Feehan is book 1 and her Ghostwalker series, too. Shadow Game (GhostWalkers, #1) by Christine Feehan is book 1. Her Leopard people series is another I follow. Burning Wild (Leopard People, #3) by Christine Feehan is the 3rd book, but I feel like you can start with this one and be fine. The first 2 are short stories and can be found together in Fever (Leopard People, #1 and #2 ) by Christine Feehan .

Wow... a lot more information than you were asking for!

And the thing with Sea Haven series, I didn't miss anything by reading Water Bound first, in that I wasn't lost, but there were a lot of references to the Drake sisters and I think that had I read their stories first, it would have enhanced Water Bound for me.

IF it's your first KR, and you like a dark gripping RS read, I'd recommend trying Die For Me (book #7), first in a trilogy which you can read out of order with her other books.. I was really caught up in the story, and the villain was awful!:-D

I must say I have found another PNR series to glom, The Dragonfire series by Deborah Cooke. I'm reading Darkfire Kiss, and I love what she does with dragons here. The hero is awesome too. He's a thinking woman's paranormal romance hero, sexy but not all id like some of them can be.
