Ah, thanks for the clarification. I'll read that book AFTER I read the second one (it has been rusting in m TBR pile for a LONG time). :)
Also, Mandy & Heidi, agree that the cover of the third one in that trilogy didn't do justice to the story.
Sooo I'm almost done with Lamb (I'm in the tough parts though) and I totally forgot to bring another book to work! I have a few here and some audiobooks and ebooks but nothing I wanted/needed to read for my challenges.Grrrr...
I finished Sweet Surrender, Baby Surprise and won't be able to read any book until Christmas week. :((Reason: life intrudes and I must prioritize what is important, which, alas, isn't my personal reading.)
E!! its ok...life is important, and SOMEtimes more important than reading..(I guess) :-) Don't worry, this time of year is most always busier for people...you'll get your reading mojo back on soon!Be safe!
Grace wrote: "Reading 'The Spymaster's lady' by Joanna Bourne. Unconventional but gripping."I just got that in mail the other day!!!
Yeah, it is different. Its sort of a buildup and then all comes together at the end. I loved it, it was one of my favs! I hope you enjoy!
Yup, Sugar Daddy is very different. The first half reads more like contemporary fiction. :)I just finished Skin Game which was very good. Now I don't know what to read...maybe I'll continue with the The Thirteenth Tale, which I started listening on the commute or the Turner book which I need to finish.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I loved Skin Game, DG. And Skin Tight was even better."I am VERY intrigued by Foster so I have a feeling I'll like that book even better. Luckily I'm #1 in the wishlist for Skin Tight at PBS (I just had it on hold) but as soon as I finished SG, I unheld it. Hopefully somebody offers it to me in a week or so!
I just finished
and
and LOVED them. I think Susan E. Phillips is my new fav contemporary author. She's amazing!!
Grace wrote: "Reading 'The Spymaster's lady' by Joanna Bourne. Unconventional but gripping."I read that awhile ago and was surprised at how much I liked it.

I'm looking for a good holiday/Christmas romance after I finish Nothing Denied...any suggestions? I looked at Walmart this past weekend and there are a bunch, but I didn't get any....kinda looking for somehting a different..if that makes sense, BUT GOOD, it has to be GOOD!

, which was really good. I got my book at the library.
Heidi wrote: "I'm looking for a good holiday/Christmas romance after I finish Nothing Denied...any suggestions? I looked at Walmart this past weekend and there are a bunch, but I didn't get any....kinda looking ..."Season for Miracles and Some Enchanted Season by Marilyn Pappano are two of my favorite Christmas romances. Although it was never marketed as a Christmas romance per se, Gaelen Foley's Lord of Ice is a really good romance that takes place during the holiday season.
They aren't romances, but if you like a sweet, heartwarming family story, A Dog Named Christmas by Greg Kincaid is quite good, and if you like tearjerkers, The Christmas Shoes by Donna VanLiere is excellent too.
Hope you find something good to read, Heidi.:-)
Finished
yesterday and am a bit aggravated with the author. At the end of the book, folks were calling Brie Mike's wife and I TOALLY missed the wedding!?!?!? Did I fall asleep during the read and not realize it.
ANother thing, she focussed way more on the secondary characters than she did on the main ones. And I don't like the way she makes those teenagers sound so adult. I know teenagers, I was a teenager . .they don't act that way!
I'm going to read the next one
, but I'm done. I can't deal with it anymore!!!I'm starting
today. I love her books.

Heidi, it's really good. I enjoyed them very much.

Seriously, life intrudes too much on my personal reading. Alas, if only time can stop...
Alright so I'm reading
and I'm getting impatient. lol Not sure if this is the book for me. But it's killing me cause I love the characters but the pace of it is too slow. Aaaaah!
Melody wrote: "Alright so I'm reading

"romantic erotica is a slippery slope. One person's "ahh" is another's "ugh."
well, what i meant by that is that i like erotica with romance in it. (i have had the displeasure of reading erotica where there is just plain narrative sex, but no romance, care... maybe too shallow.) but then again, there is an audience for everything, and im trying to broad my horizon as far as venturing to new authors. (which u have helped. thx ;) ) so thats why i keep asking how is the book, and if it i would like it. this place has show me a great variety to choose from thats for sure!!!
but i do hope that didnt come out as deprecating. if so, i apologize.
((((((((huuuugs))))))))))))))
ps: so is the book good?? because that cover looks amazing Lol
no no...Atumn, not at all..I was just trying to get a feel for where your tastes ran...so now I have to go back track because I totally forgot what book we were discussing, lol!!
Ok!
!I too do not like the erotica that just has sex sex sex with no romance or feelings. Because of this, I personally do not care for menage. This particular book is about revenge really. Its one of those where the hero is so completely in love and consumed by the heroine and heartbroken over her leaving that he exacts revenge(of the sexual nature) However, there are a lot of intese emotions going on and I found it hot. There is some anal play, though I don't remember to what extent..I've just come to expect that of erotica
If you like that premise, this book:
is very similar without the erotic bit, but filled with lots of angsty intense emotions. It was a great read!!
Bekah wrote: "Melody wrote: "Alright so I'm reading

But it's coming off slow to me cause it's not what I was expecting. I understand why Kleypas did it but I'm not sure if it's all really necessary. I'm tempted to skip this and go straight to Blue Eyed Devil but I can't bring myself too. LoL I'm just gonna shut up and keep going. lol
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Melody wrote: "Bekah wrote: "Melody wrote: "Alright so I'm reading

Sugar Daddy is actually my least favorite of the Travis series for that reason. There was something else about it that led to me feeling that way, but if you're not finished I don't want to ruin anything.
