Also, for example, as I mentioned, I'm reading
. It's totally SciFi... not a romance novel at all, so far as I can tell.

Just finished it.... It was a beautiful book, and the couple was definitely unique and unlikely: I loved it, and gave it 4.5*
Just started Eloisa James 'Desperate Duchess.' The bizarre thing is I have this strong feeling of deja vu. I'm positive I havent bought this book before, but reading the first chapter it really feels like I've read it already...how can this be? (Unless it reminding me strongly of another book????)
Anyhow second chapter doesnt ring any bells so waiting to see what happens in chapter 3. LOL!

Starting
, this is a re-read for me but it fulfills my "U" in Thankful, and I love McNaught so it isn't much of a hardship.

I enjoyed the book and I'll finish the series, but I have a feeling these will easily be added to my 'sell back' pile. Honestly, the heroine not being sure about her feelings annoyed me and IMO, she wanted too much.

I've just read

I think I'll order
next from the library as everyone tells me not to be put off LK's contemporaries by Friday Harbour!
Man.. I'm still crying from finishing The Book Thief just now! What a tear-jerker! The last 100 pages killed me! What a beautiful book!

Worth Any Price is worth losing a bit of sleep over!!
I'm still plodding through this one. I'm taking a Gabaldon break after this- it's not got the verve of Voyager.
I'm reading this one in the car (traffic works).
and tomorrow I have this one to collect from the library:

Well I collected it AND read it today!!
SPOILERS***********************
I'm letting it settle in my mind a bit but I think it's a solid 3 star for me - maybe a 3.5 star. Way better than CEA Friday Harbour because the location got to play a part in the story. I found the whole small town Texas aspect fascinating(with really scary food!). I had a huge amount of sympathy for Liberty dealing with bringing up her kid sister although I was worried by how deeply they had bonded from birth (as I could see L's schooling and prospects going out of the window) and frustrated that her mother let her allow school/life to slide in order to look after the baby when it was the mother's responsibility. After the mother died I thought Liberty was a star.
I found though that I had zero in common with Liberty and found her difficult to relate to. The only hair grooming products I own are a bottle of shampoo and a hairbrush so the whole beauty school thing was all a bit chick lit for me. I found Houston a lot less appealing than Welcome and the whole rags to riches thing was a bit irritating. I may have deducted a star for the mention of various designer names (Hermes/Prada anyone?) and the whole private jet asepct.
I also had the problem that I think some others may have had- I fell for Hardy hook, line and sinker and was rooting for him not Gage! I liked that he was self-made and I would have preferred to see a story about him and Liberty pulling themselves up by their boot-straps.
I guess I'll have to try Blue-Eyed Devil next as I definitely want to find out what happens to him whereas with the whole Friday Harbour thing I didn't really care what happened to the brothers.

They have kids the same age as ours and sometimes spend the summer over here so if you are talking about the "money matters" aspect of Houston I have an inkling of what it may be like. I guess we'll have to visit sometime- we have friends in Austin too and I suspect that will be very different. I am planning on reading the series and I think Smooth Talking Stranger has an Austin connection?

Delaney Brown is a sweetie, that's for sure.
As for HEA, I plan to read that when I had the free time to do it (i.e. when life has temporarily stopped intruding in my free time). I had read the previous three except for this last one, which I DO have in my TBR pile. And I have also ranked the three thus far.
ahh E! i loved Del and Laurel.. but Parker and Malcolm.. (Bad boy/Miss independent) ***sparkss*** it resonated a lot with me, maybe thats why i liked it soo much.let us know how u like it!!

Mostly second hand on amazon, sometimes ABE. There were a few full price ones in there that weren't worth buying second hand- like Addicted. I am looking forward to that one- I definitely like a bit of angst.
Most of my purchases came from recommendations/mentions in this group.

Given that I am a huge fan of Simon Hunt and I suspect that Hardy is in a similar mould it could well be an easy sell for me!
