I loved almost all of TM's books, my faves being Charming the Prince, Thief of Hearts, Fairest of Them All, Once an Angel and Shadows and Lace... I had been a little (they weren't terrible, just not up to par) disappointed in her last two, but she seems to be getting her groove back:-)

I've finished Shelter Mountain (Virgin River, #2) by Robyn Carr Whispering Rock (Virgin River, #3) by Robyn Carr and am starting A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr .. Very sweet books:-) Although it seems like Robyn Carr prefers Mel to her other heroines:-)

BTW, I was right.. I had too many books on my Kindle, which is why it kept on jamming: I took off 1700, and am now at 2900 bks:-) A lot faster:-)

I LOVE the Virgin River series!"

Just discovered them and bought the 1-4 bundle off Amazon for $11.99 :-)

It's far from being erotica, but I found the sex scenes tastefully written and sweet... I don't know.. maybe a (non-erotica) 6 or 7 out of ten?

message 1957: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I just bought the bundle too!! B&N had it for $9.99 which I thought was a great deal because the first two were $5.04/piece and then 3 and 4 were like $5.76/piece..Couldn't beat that!

A friend recommend the series to me and this is the first one. It also has recipes in it so that makes it fun too. I'm not far in it so not sure how I like it yet...I put it down to read Sugar Daddy last night. I didn't think I would like Gage so hadn't read this one yet, have to say I loved the story.

I have

The Devil Wears Plaid but it never fits into my challenges. I've heard such great things about it.

It was a blend of historical romance, action/adventure, and fantasy. Great story.

I am, but I'm really, really trying to limit my book buying to any series that I've already started or a new book by an author that I just absolutely cannon live without buying. Sigh . . .saving $$ for middle child to go to DC next Spring. She's gonna owe me BIG!! LOL!

Yep! And they've got several other bookstores under their umbrella, and they list the books by quality. AND if you buy more than 1 book from the same seller, each additional book is .45 cents off.

Can you? I seem to have the hardest time getting rid of books: I usually keep them all, except for the really terrible ones I hated or couldn't finish..

I just finished Educating Caroline by Patricia Cabot ... Before reading this book, I never realized that Patricia Cabot was Meg Cabot (author of Nicola and the Viscount and Victoria and the Rogue, which, while YA, I loved..). I was therefore really excited to read Educating Caroline, and although it's pretty predictable, you can't help but love the chemistry between Caroline and Braden: I found it lighthearted, fun and sweet, and thoroughly enjoyable...

I will admit it is very difficult sometimes...my automatic buy authors (Lisa, Juliet Marillier, Tess Gerritsen, and a few others) will have to pried out of my grubby paws, but with being in a book club I am reading more stuff that I wouldn't normally pick and they're hit or miss so they're easier to part with.

Lol.. You're a braver woman than I! What kind of bookclub are you in, if you don't mind my asking?
I have about (or over) 6000 books in my room, have read about 2/3rds of them, lol, and can't imagine parting with any... I usually get rid of half a dozen books a year at the most! I imagine when I move to the States I'll have to decide which are coming with me, and which will have to wait (I'm sure I can convince people who'll visit to bring along a couple dozen on each trip, lol)

Moving was part of the impetus...I got rid of quite a few that round (even though the hubby thought I could've let go of more...silly man!) and then I recently went through them again. I'm really trying to keep all of my books to one room.

The book club I'm in started off as Jane Austen and then it moved on to the past two years deciding as a group what to read for the year. It's mainly a lot of classics which is good for me because I want to read more of them and this gives me the motivation to actually finish them. There have also been a few "bestsellers" or national book club type stuff chosen by a few of the members that I still read, but am usually not very fond of...those are the ones that I have no problem selling back. I actually have a bookshelf on here labeled for my book club.
