Enjoy Carol! :)

Remember Holly Taylor in "Where Dreams Begin" and her "perfect" marriage to George? "Actually, I think it's the opposite. Ladies of that time were expected to get married without love being part of the equation...in the case of Holly, though, she fell in love with a man who loved her and was happy with him until he died. In this book though, the heroine is forced to marry a guy and then demands he love her. She constantly says how he's unworthy and she could never love him, deprecates sex and thinks badly of the hero because he likes it (I mean c'mon!) so I wondered why does she want him to love her?
The falling in love fell forced - it seemed it was love me or else and that's why I didn't believe it.

Finished "Some Like it Rough" and just started "Fangs for the Memories." Love it. Kathy Love is one of my favs and I adore this "Young Brothers" vamp series of hers.
It's such a good read! Mac is just wonderful, Isabella is NOT a TSTL heroine at all and of course, all those visits with Ian are such a treat.

I am currently reading
, not sure how much I really like it, I am oer halfway through and yet nothing seems to be happening, it feels like a filler book to me.
I reserved
at the library and was upset ot see that there was a wait list. But resolved to wait instead of buying it. Well....I went to Goodwill thift store today and walking into the book section what was the first book on the shelf? That's right. A Kingdom of Dreams for $1! So I'll be starting it today. It's fate, I tell you!
Aimee, wow, that is a sign for sure! I'm gonna buy a paperback copy of "Lady Sophia's Lover" at BAM on Friday for my Keeper Shelf. I borrowed it from a friend when I read that series last month.
Suzanne wrote: "I am currently reading

Rats! You got me, gf! Yeah, I've done that before when I borrow books from you I read and adore. "Colters' Woman" was one. And there have been about 10 others of yours I read and knew I would love to read over and over again. They get me through periods where I've read a bunch meh books in a row and I'm desperate for a good one. ;)
We've gotta find you a new Kleypas hero...I'm thinkin' you're going to love one of the Wallflower guys...but who?:)
Ya know, I'm really looking forward to those cause your reviews have been so fab and teasing. So many of those heroes sound like great guys. Tell me who you think I would go for and then when I read the seris I'll tell ya who rings my bell.
I think you'll go for Sebastian, from Devil in Winter.I think Marcus from It Happened One Autumn will be too arrogant/argumentative for you (although he's quite the lover) and maybe Simon (from Secrets of a Summer Night) will be a little too alpha (and maybe wrong for you physically). But I loved 'em all!
Love that name...Sebastian. You could be right. That's the kinda name that makes this SexWitch purrrrr....! lolAnd you're right about me not liking the arrogant or Alpha. Shivrs! lol
Possibly, but Grant and Nick both pissed me off in "Bow Street." I think everyone knows how I feel about Derek Craven (shivers!). Most readers adored Nick and Derek. Okay, it doesn't take much these days to piss me off if a man is an Alpha. ;)So if you think it's gonna be Sebastian and you do know me verrrry well, you are probably right. Of course this means I have to go through all the seasons to get to him, right? Oh, well... lmao!
Yeah, you'll have to go thru all the 'seasons'!:D It won't take you long though--a couple of days max!
I did it! *happy dance, happy dance* I used my BAM gift card to buy a copy of "Lady Sophia's Lover" today for my Keeper Shelf. Yay!
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "How is it, Carol?"Dhes - I am enjoying it so far but it definitely doesn't compare to her 'Knight Miscellany' series which I loved.
I finished The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon, loved it. And read Addicted by Charlotte Featherstone, didn't love it.

I'm running out.
Starting To Conquer a Highlander by Mary Wine today. This is my first Wine book, cover review by Fallen Angel stated "Wine ranks right up there with Nora Roberts". Hoping I'll not be dissapointed!

Mandy wrote: "Starting To Conquer a Highlander by Mary Wine today. This is my first Wine book, cover review by Fallen Angel stated "Wine ranks right up there with Nora Roberts". Hoping I'll not be dissapointed!"I generally love Mary Wine's Highlanders. This one, being the first book in the series, seemed a bit slow in places.
Mandy wrote: "I read her school teacher series. They were good, but just good. I found myself a little bored and finished the series because I had them"I think I read two of that series...I refused to read the one about Miss Martin because I thought she was byotch.
I finished two books since I last posted here:
- A solid read...the heroine was delightful but the hero got on my nerves.
- Non fiction guide to romance. Very, very funny. I almost PIMP laughing...romance readers should read this. Now I'm reading
, a really good contemporary.

Hers was actually pretty good. I really liked her hero and the story line. The better book of the series I think.

The best part was the end when Connor and Quinn kissed her. My poor little brain danced off to menage and hot Highlanders! LOL! So I think that was the best of the book for me.
