Guin pondered the idea as she walked along the shelves. She drew the back of her knuckles over the leather binding and smiled at the small rattling sound it made as she proceeded."I guess because of spells and other sorts of things that are improper for a young mudblood witch, such as moi."

Iris made her way to the Ravenclaw common room, ready to collapse on her bed. She'd had a crazy holiday, and in France of all places. Her father had decided that his family needed to jet off somewhere extravagant for the break just like all of his stuck-up friends. On the other hand, Iris had been spared from seeing some of her friends and old friends around the town, so she wasn’t forced to tell the tales of the nonexistent boarding school she was supposedly attending. After her whirlwind vacation, it was just good to be back.
