Hello everyone I am looking for a recommendation.... My 10 year old nephew loves reading the pokemon mangas and he wants to try something new... do you know pf anything good for boys of around that age?... not just mangas but books too?

I second Percy Jackson (or any series really by Rick Riordan). The Geronimo Stilton books might be of interest to him too (and there are TONS of those)

I'm not sure about mangas... most the mangas I read are either teen and up or pretty girly. If I think of any I'll get back to you!

Percy Jackson is just a little out of his reading levels... he has the hardest time with the greek names which is understandable. I will see if he will like the others though. Thanks!

DC Super Pets might be something he'd like too. I just discovered them. They're pretty basic but I think young super hero fans will enjoy them.

Captain Underpants is always very fun!

The Flying Beaver Brothers have a series of graphic novels that are pretty fun.

Perhaps the How to Train Your Dragon books? I haven't read them yet because I'm waiting for all of them to come out so I'm not sure how they'd be.

Is he a Skylanders fan? I know they've been releasing some Skylanders chapter books under the name The Mask of Power (I think) that he might like

Of course, Diary of a Wimpy Kid if he hasn't already read them.

The Captain Awesome books are pretty fun!

The Lunch Lady graphic novels are also pretty fun!

Hope some of those work out! I just looked through a couple pages of my children's lit shelf and got a few ideas, but there are tons more!

The show was appropriate up until about episode 15...
The manga was a little vulgar...

Do you mean when Ryouko needed to get the last piece of Senketsu? I just watched that and it ended.... at least it wasn't bad... I have to say Nui is probably my favorite character... Of course she's the enemy...

I get that. I took me about 4 episodes to start liking it... I love it now. I admit, it's a little... out there... but I love the story. especially for a clothing and fashion hound like me... I didn't actually notice how centered around clothing the show was until about episode 7...

Yeah, an episode after that Ryouko goes out to recover Senketsu from the goku uniforms they've been infused with... other than that, I'm not telling ;)

well if you look closer in to it it has a lot of fan service in it. my favorite character is Ryuko who is yours
