what exactly does a moderator do?

It depends on the moderator. We all have a couple of different jobs that we specifically take care of. Starbubbles is the fearless leader. She sets up the Book of the Month reads as well as the challenges and polls. Mike is the librarian, he keeps the book shelves nice and neat and in a easy to use format for searching purposes. And I'm in charge of movie night and the Anime Watch events! Though we all help each other out when needed.

Other duties taken care of are things like starting discussions, getting rid of old, inactive threads, keeping the discussion threads organized, all that sort of housekeeping stuff that keeps the group running :-)

K.C. when you find the image, right click and save the image to your computer. Then you can click on edit profile and there will be a place on the right for you to upload the image

KC, I don't know you personally, but if an online forum is the only thing that "keeps you from snapping" perhaps you should seek some real help outside of the internet. If anyone is feeling that angry, upset, or depressed with life, they really should find someone to talk to to help them sort things out. You want to live a healthy life, so you need to take care of yourself.

I'm not trying to offend you or act as if I know you, but when people make comments like that, I do get concerned.

yeah I do get angry a lot but I tend to calm down quickly when I'm at home but school is a real problem but I don't have tantrums or anything like that I've found ways get rid of my anger without hurting anyone or anything like repeating the phrase destroy kill destroy over and over in my head and stuff like this club however even if I'm calm I sense my anger it feels like a demon following me every where and sense other peoples anger my mom says it 's some sort of rare ability I call it a curse but right now I'm pretty calm

Well, that's good. Just remember that school will be over one day and you can leave all the problems behind. If people are bothering you, you won't ever have to see them again and you'll probably end up way more successful than them.

*Queen Diva* you should be glad you're out of school because honestly school is a huge source of stress and one of the only things I look forward to in school is the end of it plus if you mess up in high school or college you assure your self a really sh*** life and every little thing you do in high school and college will either make or break you plus you don't have a bunch of freedom and you're still living with your parents if you're in high school ( my parents are making my brother live with us till college) so even though you have to deal with all those bills and budgets and stuff being in school is much worse ( though I understand why you would miss youth)

well. if you look at life that way EVERYTHING will be terrible. just look at the things you like about school, and picture them as dessert. you have to make it through the main course before you eat dessert.

K.C. none of that is true whatsoever. I hardly passed high school because I goofed off and messed up and my life is very successful.

When you become an adult and have to work all day every day to pay bills, trust me, you will be WISHING you were back in school.

And trust me, as you get older, you will realize the awesomeness of learning. I've seriously been contemplating buying text books because I want to just read knowledgeable things.

When you're young, you often don't realize how easy life is. When I was in high school, I couldn't wait to be an adult because I thought things would be awesome! Being independent, living wherever you want to but things are never really that simple.

I'm counting down the days until I can go to grad school. I seriously can't wait!

I really love your positive attitude Nathaniel. That always has a lot to do with how your life is - being positive really helps you to enjoy things that even at the time you don't really care for. I hope you never lose that positivity :)
