Hahah, very nice, Way. In 2011 i've read 55 or so. I forget the actualy number, but I am 1% ahead on my goal for this year. :)

GR book challenge? I'm learning so much. Maybe, just maybe, I'll make my own goal.
Umm. A half a year ago maybe. I joined and then promptly forgot about it. I just remembered a month and a half ago maybe. Since then...I've gotten addicted.
I understand the addicted part.I meant to do a GR challenge, but I was trying to figure out what my goal would be (I read over 50 books last summer alone) and it's already mid-May and I haven't figured it out.

I just set it to 100, I might bump it up, but we will see, we will see, The problem is: I read a few very large books.
I don't read a whole lot of them, I just read long ones.

True. We had to do a reading log for three months in 5th grade. Keep in mind I didn't put down everything I read. Then we had to count the number of books, pages, and minutes we had read. I started with pages. 3 minutes after the period ended, I finished counting the number of pages.The previous record was around 2,000.
I had 15,196. And that was for a small portion of what I read for three months. I was kind of scared.
My mother always tried to get me to keep a log. I would always forget to write my books down.
We had to do reading logs up through 6th grade. My problem was remembering to write them down, and to time them. And when I did time, my sister would get annoyed by the beeping. In seventh grade we were supposed to, but I forgot after the first month and my teacher didn't care.I would hate if my mom made me keep a log. Luckily, she agrees with me that they're pointless.
Heh.Goodreads is now doing my log for me. Thank you Goodreads.
I always forget to put them in Goodreads to. If you look at my account, it says the last book I read was something like two months ago, as opposed to two days.
Ah yes.We will see how this goes.
The issue is: I don't even remember all the books I've read this year.
Hahah, nice. I'm on so often that its natural for me to add them. And if i forget it i say i've read it for about 5 seconds. :)

I know. Every so often I wonder what I would have done if Christina hadn't invited me. I'm pretty sure I was invited solely as part of pushing for 1000 members, but just imagine if she hadn't, or if I hadn't accepted. My life would have been so different. ;)

I updated my goal to 100 and so far I'm 43 books in.
Yay, Allie! I'm 56 books into my goal of 150- and right on track. I'll need to be about 75 in by my birthday, which I will be. :)Halley- Really? I never would've guessed. And here i was thinking sad and lonely lives were happy and filled with people!
106 last year. 27 so far this year, waaaay behind.

Im behind by an average of four books. Some times that margin is bigger or smaller, but four is the average.

I'm two books behind now, and it's a bit (slightly) disconcerting considering I've been ahead all year until now.
I've only read about 50 this year so far and I think I'll change my goal to 150 or 200 but I don't know

Why is everyone in finals or done? I've got two and a half weeks before finals even start.
That stinks. I'd be done already (like noon today) but snowdays pushed us back a week.

Wait... where are all of you from? I'm from Indonesia so we don't have summer holidays, we only have 3-week-long year-end vacation :D

Yeah, I'm in the US too. New York public schools start and end later than most of the country or world. But we do get summer vacation.
Wow. Three weeks?But then again, I'm homeschooled and I'll probably have to work a bit in the summer. So my vacation won't be as long as I'd want.
So far I've only read 9, but I'm almost done with the 10th for this year. My goal is 50. I need to get reading if I want to meet my goal.
So far I've read 29 books this year, and I'm aiming for 125+ I have a lot of catching up to do this summer.......
