message 3206: by ♥ Ashleigh ♥ (new)

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) alrighty so i started John Dies at the End by David Wong thinking that it would prob been a slightly strange book with zombies (i love zombies) but so far its extreamly strange and makes almost no sense, lol. im contemplating if i should keep reading it.

message 3207: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) finished Haunted by Your Touch (Doomsday Brethren #3.5) by Jeaniene Frost pretty good, I wish there was more to the jeaniene's frost story like more books in that world i would most definitely read more of it. THe other two were good as well, and will read more of these authors as well, but just like any other anthology they are rushed and leave you hanging for more. Now I am reading however is Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater which is good so far but taking me a minute to remember what had happened in the last book, I probably should've done a re-read of it before hand but oh well now I remember what happened, and it's too late lol.

message 3208: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly I started on Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh last night. This is a new to me author but I'm liking it so far.

I loved this series, enjoy. I started Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill I'm loving it already! Finished Darkness Unbound (Dark Angels, #1) by Keri Arthur yesterday which was great too.

message 3210: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) Finished Storm Glass (Glass, #1) by Maria V. Snyder I thought it was really good. It was great to see characters from the Study series. And I love the character set up, and the (view spoiler) but I can't wait to read the next one, this is such a great world to be in.

Now though I am reading Incarceron (Incarceron, #1) by Catherine Fisher it's kind of weird right now, hopefully it gets better. Has anyone read this to give me their opinion on it?

Mark (mark_n) | 24 comments Hi, currently reading Three days to dead by Kelly Meding, about quarter way into the book and loving it, it's the first book of Kelly's i've read and I have the next two in the series waiting on my book shelf. I am also waiting for Kim Harrisons ninth Hollows series book Pale Demon to come out in paperback, Kim is a genius at writing and has created a magnificent world in the Hollows books.

message 3217: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 114 comments I finished Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill last night. I really liked it. I can't decide if I should start If I Die (Soul Screamers, #5) by Rachel Vincent or Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger

I listened to the audio version while at work. Not sure if I would have been able to read the book. It takes a while to really get into the story (for me it was about 1/2 way), but I really liked it in the end.

On another note...If you liked Storm Glass (Glass, #1) by Maria V. Snyder , you will love the next two books in the series. The ending was not quite what I would have expected, but I loved it!

I love that series!

message 3220: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) the further I get into Incarceron that is, the more i'm getting to understand it. The problem with this book is that the author doesn't explain anything at all, she just goes on like we know exactly what's going on and what's supposed to be happening. But its getting better

message 3221: by ♥ Ashleigh ♥ (last edited Oct 26, 2011 06:48PM) (new)

Don't give up! I had the same problem for about the first half of the book. Then all of the sudden, you find yourself not able to put it down. From what I've read, most people have the same reaction to the book. But, it's worth sticking it out because the entire series is wonderful.

message 3230: by Jenne (new)

Sarah (sarah_anne) | 253 comments Dawn wrote: "I could not get through Graveminder for some reason it could not keep my attention. How did you like it. "

I liked it. I gave it 4 stars, but I rounded up from 3-1/2. It was different. I read quite a few reviews that complained about Rebekkah...I didn't have a problem with her as a character. The odd dynamic of the whole town was interesting and kind of reminded me of Rachel Caine's Morganville. I'm interested to see where Melissa Marr takes it from here.
