EXACTLY Aimee! I thought it was awful, it was too perfect, almost to the point that it was awkward. It was just like "Are we gonna have sex now?" "Yes" "Okay". Wtf!?! And all the non-sentences drove me nuts, the second book, which I am almost done with, is like its been written by a different person! I am really liking it! So yay.

I agree- I say "first-book-syndrome" with The Darkest Night.

I thought that it was a solid "good" book. The world was different and didn't have a big info dump. I am looking forward to more in this series.

Finished . It was good. Lindsey, this started out pretty quick and kept me hooked. You don't necessarily need to read The Warlord Wants Forever to understand but it helps with a few of the characters near the end of the book. I will keep going with this series. Starting

I know some people don't care for Kelly, but for some reason I liked her. She definitely threw all the guys for a loop.
