Patricia (catnaping) | 415 comments I finished Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) by Jim Butcher I loved it one of my favorite Dresden books. The title says everything about the book!I really wish i had the next book already.I'm not to sure what I'm going to read next either Shadow of the Moon (Dark Guardian, #4) by Rachel Hawthorne or Voices of Dragons by Carrie Vaughn

message 960: by Samantha (new)

message 961: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarah_anne) | 253 comments Over the last month or so, I have (slowly but surely) made my way through the Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter series and am currently reading Bad Moon Rising.

message 962: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I did that last year. It made the books more understandable to me.

message 963: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I finished Gideon (Nightwalkers, #2) by Jacquelyn Frank by Jacquelyn Frank. It started out a little slow but picked up towards the middle of the book. I did like Jacob better but will probably move on to Elijah next month. I'm now reading The Pleasure Slave by Gena Showalter

message 964: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (catnaping) | 415 comments I finished reading Shadow of the Moon (Dark Guardian, #4) by Rachel Hawthorne and [image error] on Audio.I'm now reading Beyond The Darkness (Guardians of Eternity, #6) by Alexandra Ivy and listening to Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater on Audio.

Nichole ~Bookaholic~ (nicholebookaholic) | 672 comments I am listening to Iron Kissed (Mercedes Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs just finished reading Slave to Sensation and am now reading The Devil Inside (Morgan Kingsley, #1) by Jenna Black and will also be starting Visions of Heat (Psy-Changeling, #2) by Nalini Singh

message 967: by Jaime (new)

Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 126 comments I finished Gabriel's Ghost (Dock Five Universe, #1) by Linnea Sinclair and really enjoyed it! Even though I'm not big into science fiction, it was more about the romance than the gadgets. She's got an overall arc, and each book features a different couple. Will definitely read more!

Now I'm reading Heart Mate (Celta's HeartMates, #1) by Robin D. Owens . This cover looks MUCH better than the original one. It's a romantic fantasy, and has a lot of worldbuilding. So far so good.

OpenBookSociety.com (openbooksociety) | 10 comments I started the second Cassie Palmer book a few weeks ago and I'm still not to far into it. The first book sucked me in, this one its taking longer. I hope it picks up pace soon!

message 971: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) getting ready to read Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton I admire people who can read more than one book at a time. I can't do the audio, my attention span won't allow it, and my attention span doesn't allow me to read more than one book at a time. Hell it's hard enough to read if there is background noise for me.

But I do admire you all who can read multiple books at a time.

message 972: by Starling (new)

Starling | 176 comments Samantha, I could read one fiction book and one non-fiction book at the same time, if it was the right kind of non-fiction book. I used to listen to audio books when they were on tape and I was in my car for hours every day and read a book, but the audio books were never fiction. In fact I preferred to listen to the kind of heavy history book that I never could quite manage in print.

I've got some problems with too much background noise as well. You are not alone.

message 973: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) Yeah I admire you for being able to do that, I can't read non-fiction to dull for me lol, I get enough of that with school and research and blah...so no non-fiction for pleasure. Strictly fiction and strictly pnr and UF for this woman. Yeah too much background noise I get distracted easily. And when I read I want to be able to focus on the story not the TV, or my kids, or the rest of my family upstairs.

It's an okay book, written by Lilith Saintcrow, who wrote other series for adults. This one is for YA.

message 977: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) hows her adult series?

message 978: by Mary E. (new)

Mary E. (jujjy) | 16 comments Finished a re-read of Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward last night (loved it, as usual), currently about halfway through Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep (not bad so far). I'm supposed to wait until next week to re-read Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward but I've already scarfed the first few chapters. Been listening to the audio of Kiss by Ted Dekker for a couple of weeks (during the daily hour commute), it's ok I guess but pretty forgettable.

Mary E. (jujjy) | 16 comments Samantha wrote: "hows her adult series?"

I enjoy her Jill Kismet series. I hear good things about her Dante Valentine series as well, but haven't read those yet.

message 980: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) hmmm may have to check them out later on.

message 981: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments I have read both series and I really enjoyed them. The Dante series is complete, but the Jill Kismet still has a few books that have yet to come out.

Seriously? Ugh. My friend is reading it now. If she didn't focus so much on the labels and clothing then I could probably stand it. I could actually stand the plot.

I read the second one the other day. Kind of sad that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Still loved it, but not as good as the first one.

message 986: by Ellen (last edited Apr 11, 2010 12:14AM) (new)

Possibly you can't get a book cover for the book because it's actually called CHANGES?? Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) by Jim Butcher

Angela, that's a great book!

Samantha, I like to focus on one book at a time myself, and I find it hard to concentrate if there's noise. We drive 12 hours to our vacation home a few times a year, and I love using that time to read. I *hate* when dh puts on talk radio, but hey, he's driving so I can't complain *too* much.
