He is a man of faith, He loved only Rose, The only time he acted dishonorably was when he was Strigoi (and when he slept with Rose before she broke up with Adrian). Truth was he and Rose were made for each other, period end of sentence.

Adrian
Basically before Adrian met Rose he was a player. He also basically drank himself into oblivion every day to keep Spirit at bay ... I think they call that self-medicating. But Adrian was a good guy to Rose, he treated her well, and in general was a good man.

Adrian although he was a good man, he only gave up the drinking and clove cigarettes for Rose, not for himself or to be a better man. *And he was not that successful at the giving it up either.

Truth is he and Rose did not bring out the best in each other. They should have stayed friends and dear Adrian would not have gotten his heart broken. I do hate that!

But Dimitri and Rose were made for each other ...
To make a twilight comparison Rose = Bella, Dimitri = Edward and Adrian = Jacob ... it was a love triangle that is why the book worked ...

Ok have at it girls ... I think they are both good men! I think you should dream about whomever you wish be it Dimitri, Adrian, Christian, or Abe ... for us old folks!
