Confession: Sometimes, when I need a JM fix, I get Covet out and read his story, just from the few pages, it is going to be AMAZING!! I was sad when I read his book is only like 500 pages, I need more already.

I remember being at work the day the last Harry Potter book came out, and one of the guys showed up at 10am and had 100 pages left because he went to Walmart at midnight and bought it... I'm considering trying that with LM. It's a Tuesday so I likely won't have to be to work until 6pm... if not I have it pre-ordered so it should arrive around noon. Either way, I'm avoiding GR until I finish!

MARTINA'S JANUARY LIST - 3/10 COMPLETEJust finished Bengal's Heart (Breed, Book 19/Feline Breed, Book 12) by Lora Leigh, which I gave 3 stars.
The Breed series in general is paranormal romance, bordering on paranormal erotica - especially the earlier books of the series.
This book is the story of Cabal St. Laurent, a Bengal Breed and Cassa Hawkins, Breed reporter.
I enjoyed the read, but didn't get into it as much as previous books in the series. I'll likely still pick up the next one, mostly because the next one is finally about Jonas Wyatt, whom the author has been teasing readers about for a number of books now. :-)

I got 30 pages read yesterday. And am not sure I'm going to get many more than that today. UNLESS my foot dr. is backed up for hours again, and I get to finish off a book while sitting in her office. Sometimes I get in and out of her office in 30 minutes--the longest wait I've had was almost 4 hours. I'm still not sure why it was that long, but oh well--I DID get a book and a quarter read that day. :o)
I have a quilting class on Sunday, and I need to get my prep work for that done today, need to hit the grocery store, my cleaning lady is coming (and due any minute), I have the foot dr's appointment and finally must do a LOT of baking. Sigh, I've decided that I have got to lose some weight, so I'm on a diet, and I have to do some prep work for that over the next day or 2, which means lots and lots and LOTS of cooking.

awe, Flibity--you didn't like Blue Bloods? It was one of the first paranormal series I read and it was one of my favorites. I have only been reading this genre for about a year and I have read so much since then, I would be curious how I would feel about that series after all my "experience". What didn't you like about it?
Cherra -- It may have been the narrarator on the audiobook. It just felt really "young". Yes, I know it was a young adult, but I had a hard time with it grabbing my attention. I got bored :(

I got bored :("yeah, the narrator can have a lot to do with the feel of a book. I read New Moon about a year ago. During a car ride over thanksgiving we listened to the audio version of it--because my step son had just finished Twilight and wanted to listen to it. First off, New Moon was my least favorite of the series, but the narrators in the audio version made it have a totally different feel. So, I know what you mean.

- This is a very early book of this authors and it shows. The writing and the story are a bit green. Regardless I really enjoyed it and will read more in the series for sure.
- This author seems to be able to do no wrong. Everything of her's that I have read I love and Slave to Sensation is no exception![image error] - Good book, though a bit stark on the emotions sometimes.

Yeah, my review does have some In The Blood spoilers, but they're pretty mild, nothing too critical. But if you want to have a pure reading experience, which I always recommend, then yes, I would wait on my review.
