I'm reading
which has been really fascinating. I see the chimp building every day, but hadn't gotten around to reading this book.
I had to put
aside because my library loan ended. While waiting for it to come back available I figured I'd pick up a long overdue new classic,
I'm still reading
but can only get through about 10-25 pages each day before I need to read something else. It's interesting, but slow.I've just started
, and I'm going to start
later today.
I recently started We Need To Talk About Kevin http://d.gr-assets.com/books/13278650... (yes, I am probably one of the last people on the planet to read it. I knew what it was about but, wasn't aware it is told by the mother in the form of letters to her husband. Very powerful.

I started The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry on audio today. Jim Broadbent is the reader, and I have been told the does an excellent job.

I started Fire in the Ashes: Twenty-Five Years Among the Poorest Children in America
on audio this morning. Very interesting, but also very sad, thus far.
I've started reading The End of Your Life Book Club
, and then I plan to read
(confession: no, I've not ever read it).
Started Lisa See's
for the second time. Got 10 pages in a while back and was "called" to read another book. So, here I am again.
I needed a break after the emotional intensity of Dog Stars ... so am starting A Life in Stitches by Rachael Herron as a relaxing read. Next up .. The End of Your Life Book Club!.
Linda and Cindy, I have The End of Your Life Book Club on my nightstand, ready to kick off the new year.
I'm reading
(a mystery/crime novel reviewed in Bookmarks Magazine);
(non-fiction); and finishing up
(a biography).
These all look excellent, Lynn! I started reading Bring Up the Bodies
yesterday. It's very enjoyable thus far.

What motivated me to read it was a trip to the Maparium in Boston. The Maparium is part of the Christian Science Complex and is a giant globe of the world in 1935 that you actually walk through. One of the things I noticed was that the middle east was so very different than it is now, fewer countries. It really piqued my interest. I'll have to get that book out and put it on my 2013 reading pile. If you ever get a chance the Maparium is a really neat stop and the tour is only about 15 min. The center has all these really neat quotes from Mary Baker Eddy displayed in different ways.

I'm reading Gone Girl and A Clash of Kings. Both are so good (so far) it is hard to decide which book to read each day.

The list is in an index in the back of the book - you could just copy it.

It is excellent so far, Becky. Also a nice follow-up to the book that I just finished entitled Fire in the Ashes: Twenty-Five Years Among the Poorest Children in America.

I listened to it on audio so didn't have access to the list.

I always listen to one book on audio for my commute and have one going on my kindle. I have to make sure the stories are very different as occasionally, especially when tired, I have confused the story lines in my mind!
