On Chapter 7 and loving it so far. It's a unique story and the writing is excellent. Hopefully, the strong start will continue.

I read it a couple of weeks ago....
Cathy wrote: "Just starting
. I did enjoy
years ago and wanted to read something else by this author."I've been eyeing that book to read maybe. I'll be interested to see if you like it.
Just started Agent 6 By Tom Rob Smith, I loved Child 44, I didn't like his second novel, so here's hoping the 3rd is good.
I'm just starting American Gods by Neil Gaiman. This is not usually my type of book and as I read the first couple chapters, I'm really not sure but it got such great reviews, I'm going to stick with it.
I've been struggling with
so I am putting aside for now. Can't decide if I've been too tired at night to absorb it, or if it's the wrong book at the wrong time. I'm going to start
now and see if that grabs me.

, try the audio of the other books in the series. The narrator sounds exactly like you think Flavia would sound. I love her name too, Jane Entwistle.

Hope you do too!

Betsy wrote: "Starting
for my March book group. It was my turn to pick and I've wanted to read this for a while."Great pick, Betsy - it's long but very engaging.

last night and am half-way through -- a fast read."Laurie, what do you think so far? I'm almost finished with it on audio and I am really enjoying it, at times, even loving it.
Well in theory I have started
, but unless I start reading around the clock, I'm probably not going to finish before my library loan ends. I had another one of those unfortunate times were all 4 books on my library hold list became available within 3 days! So I finished two, started just a few pages of Ready Player One, but I don't think I can sit down and finish it before it is due. Darn. I think it will back to the wait list.

If I can't renew a book, then I know that someone else is in line for it so I'll bring it back and then go back on the wait list. A few times, if the book was extremely popular and I couldn't wait, I just bought it so that I could read it and not have to wait for it.I empathize, Victoria, 4 books on my hold list just came in this week, too. I can't see where I am in line on the list so I can't manage my holds and I don't like to be without an audio book to listen to in my car (2 out of the 4 were audio books).
I can actually see where I am on the list with our library, but these were really divergent. I can also see how many copies the library has. But these ranged from me being number 2 (so knew that was coming soon) to number 18-20. But I guess, like me, some people check things out, quickly discover they don't like it, and return it. That's what I always do. That said, I am already close to 15% done with Ready Player One - I'm really enjoying it, so I think I might get it done. I'm not sure when it's due - haven't gotten a notice from the library yet. Funny thing is - I might buy it anyway, because I think my husband and my 13 year old son might enjoy it too!

I really like the story -- I think I'm going to reread Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby as a follow-up -- it's been a LONG time since I read Gatsby, and I want to compare themes.
I took out of the library for my son
, a young adult book with excellent reviews. When I finished with the busyness of yesterday I was pulling it out of his bookbag last night and return to it this morning. I just couldn't resist. Once through it I am starting
, which remains on my nightstand.

Oh what a great idea! I read TGG in college and didn't like it. I've been thinking that it warrants a re-read, and now you've given me another reason. I'm thinking maybe late Spring.

I am starting
The Sojourn and also
A Tale of Two Cities (in honor of Charles Dicken's 200th birthday this month).
On the way home tonight I started listening to
. The reader is great, and the first bit was hysterically funny. I'm hoping it continues. After loving the Coen brothers' version of True Grit, which is supposed to be quite true to the book, I've wanted to read something of Charles Portis, so here I am.
