Susannah flipped through the mail on the dinning room table, and one letter brought her up short. She took it and went in search of Jacob.

A few blocks away from Christian and Rebecca's a family of four was unpacking a truck full of boxes.

Christian's steps slowed as he passed the house, curiosity getting the better of him.

"Just a little tune up," Jacob said. "Making sure that it keeps running as well as it can."

"Interesting." Susannah said, though cars didn't really ever interest her.

The girl bent down to retrieve them, ready to tell Christian off. But when she got a look at his face she changed her mind and smiled sweetly. "It is okay," she said. He accent almost sounded like Alek's but with a bit of something Eastern European. "It is my fault probably, you are not hurt?"

"I'm fine," ChristiAn said, handing her the books he'd picked up, before turning to continue his walk.

"Why Mrs. Black, are you handing things from me?" Jacob asked in mock horror.

"Not hiding. just. ...withholding information." Susannah said.

"Lead the way," Christian said.

"Everything ok?" Jacob asked.

The girl lead Christian a yard or two into the house where a bunch of boxes were piled up.

Christian set down the box, then turned to leave.

"That's awesome babe," Jacob said with a smile.

"I'd like to go to one," Susannah continued, "But Forks is so secluded, none of them are exactly close."

The girl watched Christian disappear down the street as someone walked up next to her in the doorway. "See something you like little sister?" He asked.
"You know Zane, I think I do," Katerina said with a smirk.

Christian walked until he was tired, his fatigue making him disinteresting to the shadows, and they finally left him. Only then did he go home.

As he left the café, Zach called Rebecca.
