Sabrina shrugged. "Do whatever you want to." she said, part of her hoping he actually wanted to stay.

Alek thought for a while before his suit reappeared. "I think I'll stay," he said. "To make sure Henry doesn't bother you that is," he added.
Sabrina glared at him then walked back to her table, where her purse was.
Alek followed her to the table. "Dance with me," he said suddenly. There was a pretty fast song playing, which he thought couldn't do much harm.
"Why?" Sabrina asked, confused as to why he was still hanging around her when he made it seem like he wanted nothing more to do with her that morning.
Alek shrugged. "It's a dance," he said, "that's what people do."
"Yeah, people who are dating or perhaps even friends. You made it pretty clear that you didn't really want to be either this morning." Sabrina replied.
"I said that we couldn't," Alek said. "I never said anything about what I wanted."
"Well, if confusing me is your goal, you've succeeded." Sabrina said.
"Just dance with me," Alek said, holding his hand out to her.
Sabrina sighed, but stood and took his hand.
They had taken so long talking that when he lead her to the dance floor a slow song had started. Alek stood there awkwardly for a minute before lightly placing his hands on her waist.
Sabrina loosely looped her arms around his neck, standing far enough away from him that there was absolutely nothing intimate about the embrace, to the point where it was more polite or professional than casual or friendly.
Throughout the song Alek, unconsciously, inched his hands around her slowly. More than halfway through the song his fingertips were on either side of her spine.
Sabrina also unconsciously stepped towards him until there was half the distance between them as there was at the beginning of the song.
Alek lightly bunched his fingers in the fabric of her dress, holding her closer.
Sabrinas arms tightened around him slightly.
Alek rested his head ontop of hers. I love you too, he whispered soundlessly.
Sabrina rested her head against his chest.
Rebecca looked over and saw Sabrina and Alek. "What is he doing here? I thought they broke up," she said. Alek kissed the top of her head. "This is what I want," he murmured into her hair.
Zach looked over, then just shrugged."Then why'd you say all that stuff this morning?" Sabrina asked softly.
"Because this is selfish and dangerous," Alek said. Rebecca made a face but let it go.
"How is it selfish if it's something we both want?" Sabrina asked.
"It's selfish because it puts what I want before your life," Alek said.
"You're not going to hurt me, Alek." Sabrina said. "Why can't you trust yourself like I trust you?"
"Because you're so fragile, and so mouthwatering, that even when I'm not hungry I find myself thinking about how I would kill you," Alek said.
"But you don't want to, and you don't." Sabrina said.
"You take that I haven't yet to mean that I never will," Alek said.
"I don't think you will." Sabrina said.
"I'm not sure that's true," Alek said. "I can't put you in danger like that."
Sabrina just sighed, unconsciously holding him tighter.
Alek pulled her into him more, not wanting to ever let go.
When the song ended, Sabrina didn't move back.
Alek sighed letting go of her, about to reach for her hands to slide them from her necks.
Sabrina stepped back quickly as soon as he let go of her, not sure she could bear it if he actually told her to let go.
Alek held her head and gently kissed her head. "There's almost no way that I could be sure that you'd be safe enough, I'm sorry," he said.
Sabrina stepped back. "If you're going to continue selflessly staying away from me, then I'm going to have to ask you not to do that. it hurts too much."
Alek's eyes lit up, like he just remembered something amazing-which he did. "I just thought of two possible things we could do," he said.
"Well the first more obvious one is you becoming a vampire," Alek said.
"By killing Henry," Alek said. "Two birds, one stone."
"I don't know..." Sabrina said unsurely.
"Or we could both go on trying to bury our feelings deep deep down," Alek said.
"On second thought, I kind of like your idea." Sabrina said.
"Which one?" Alek asked. "My killing Henry to become human? Or," he wrapped his arms around her and pressed his lips against her throat, "making you an immortal with more power than you ever thought possible?"
"I don't want power." Sabrina said. "I just want you. And I wouldn't mind never seeing Henry again."
"Alright then," Alek agreed. "I'll just need Rebecca's help."
