"You of course," Rebecca said gently. "There's no one else here."

Susannah looked around. "Oh." she said. "Alright then, what do you want?"
"I just wanted to hang out and talk," Rebecca said. "We haven't been able to just talk in a while."
Susannah shrugged. "Means nothing to me. I don't know who you are."
"Very funny," Rebecca said. She knew that Susannah didn't recognize her. But she was trying to act as though there was nothing wrong and she was just talking to a friend.
"Funny. That's weird, I'm not usually considered funny." Susannah said, then paused. Where did that come from? As far as she knew, she was. . .nothing. Not funny or un-funny, not. . .anything.
Rebecca wondered if a flame would help her mind. But she thought that it would be best to use hand made fire like the one they used for her body. So she started to try to work out a way to get Susannah to help create a fire. Rebecca muttered a spell under her breath and the air chilled. She shivered lightly, "It's getting a bit chill huh?" She brought up conversationally. "Why don't we light a campfire. It could be fun."
"yeah, ok" Susannah said, not needing much convincing since the sudden chill made her anxious.
"I'll go into the woods and get some firewood," Rebecca said. "Could you find some flint stones?"
Susannah nodded and stood. It wasn't until she'd found the flint stones that she questioned how she even knew what flint stones were. As far as she knew, shed never built a fire before.
Rebecca came back and piled the wood. "Thanks," she said taking the flint from Susannah and striking them over the wood.
After a minute there was a spark that caught on one of the dry twigs and started to grow.
"Well don't just stand there," Rebecca said. "Come over her and warm up." She sat at the edge of the blaze and put her hands out towards it.
Susannah sat on the other side of the fire, as far away from Rebecca as possible without leaving the warmth of the fire.
Rebecca took a stick and prodded the fire. Then she 'accidentally' knocked one of the flaming logs into Susannah's lap.
Susannah screamed, then the flame was absorbed into her and she remembered that she had to reason to fear fire, and she remembered pretty much everything else. "What are we doing here?" Susannah asked, looking at Rebecca curiously.
"Adrian killed you again, Christian, Jacob and Alek were able to heal your body, but I had to come and heal your mind," Rebecca summarized.
"wow. ok." Susannah said. "I'll work on getting out of here. I'm pretty sure it's not something magic can do. I've got a feeling."
"Not really no," Rebecca said. "I guess I'll see you on the outside." Then she vanished.
there wasn't really any change in Susannah, save for a more peaceful expression, she looked like she was sleeping. "what happened?" Christian asked rebecca when she returned.
"I was able to heal her mind, return her personality and memory, but she's lost inside. When I left she was trying to find her way back."
Christian sighed. "Yeah, I was afraid of that." he showed her a book on firestarter medicine that said that something like what Rebecca had said, essentially a coma of sorts, could happen when a firestarter was mortally injured. The time it took to recover varied from days to months, or sometimes they never did.
"She's coming out," Jacob said. "She has to."
Christian shrugged. "Maybe." he said. "The question is, when?"
"I guess I'll just take her home," Jacob said. "Thank you guys for your help. I'll let you know when she wakes up." Then he lifted her up and started heading for the door.
"I'm going to check on Sabrina," Alek said, then left for her house. Rebecca took out her phone and texted Zach. Hey. Want to hang out? :)
'sure.' Zach responded.Sabrina sat at the base of the tree where they'd left her, not having composed herself enough to go home without worrying her mother. she still looked like she'd seen a ghost.

Sabrina's mother answered the door. "Yes?" she asked.I'm on my way now. Zach said, getting up and fetching his moms car keys.
:) Can't wait Rebecca wrote back. "Hi ma'am, sorry to drop by unannounced, is Sabrina in?" Alek asked.
Zach knocked on her door a few minutes later."no, she's not. " Shirley said.
"Hey babe," Rebecca beamed, opening the door. "Alright we'll thank you," Alek said and left. Walking back into the woods.
"Hey" Zach said, taking her into his arms and holding her close. "It's been a while since we've just hung out."Sabrina had climbed up to the first branch of the same tree where she'd been all day.
As Alek entered the woods he caught her sent and found her. After what she had seen today he didn't bother hiding his vampirism from her anymore and leapt up into the branch to sit beside her. "How are you doing?" He asked gently. Rebecca smiled. "Too long," she said, burying her head into his chest and breathing him in.
Sabrina recoiled away from him, as far as the branch would allow.Zach closed the door behind them and walked further into the house with her.
"What do you wanna do?" Rebecca asked. "Take it easy," Alek haid putting his hands up, "I'm not going to hurt you."
"Watch a movie?" Zach suggested."But you've thought about it, haven't you?" Sabrina said softly. "That day in the woods. . .I remember it."
"I have," Alek said.Rebecca sat down and opened netflix on the tv before handing Zach the remote. "Your choice," she said.
"I'd rather you go away now." Sabrina said, and when her hands started to tremble she clasped them in her lap to keep them still.Zach flipped through the movies, looking for one that seemed good.
Alek sighed. "I said I thought about it Sabrina, not that I ever would. I think that all the time about everyone. But I never have, and I really don't want to hurt you."
"How can I believe anything you're saying right now? Weren't you the one that warned me when we first met that you might not be a good guy or as nice as I thought? Thanks for the warning. I should have listened to you then." Sabrina said, refusing to look at him.
"You should have," Alek said. "It would have been easier then, but now it's too late."Rebecca waited patiently for him to finish.
"What do you mean?" Sabrina asked.Zach finally selected a movie and hit 'play'.
Rebecca curled into his side and rested her head on his shoulder. "I mean if you had listened to me then when I said I was no good, parting ways would have been easier," Alek said. "Now it been too long and it too late."
Zach wrapped an arm around her."No it's not." Sabrina said. "If you won't leave, then I will." And she started to climb down the tree, but it was hard enough getting up there in the first place, so she slipped and fell.
Alek was under her in an instant to catch her. He stopped breathing because she was so close. He gently place her on her feet, placing her so their bodies were almost flush. "Yes it is," he whispered, leaning in closer. "Far to late." Then he pressed his lips against hers as gently as he could. Rebecca sighed contentedly.
