Just because you have a crush on the viking vampire doesn't mean he is going to end up with Sookie. None of us knows how this book series will end.

They do have passion and attraction -- and also so much in common.The thing about Eric is that she could never have a normal life with him (to the extent she can anyway). She wants to be outside in the sun with her man (remember her dream of him driving with her during the day and he was a real estate sales person?) So unless something happens to turn Eric "undead" like in *spoiler alert for another series*........................Nora Robert's Circle Trilogy............... I don't know how they can end up together? Also she wants kids. And Harris has said that Sookie will live a natural life and that humans cannot become pregnant by vampires. So something has to give. We know that her and Quinn also had alot of potential and perhaps, Sookie was way too harsh on Quinn -- maybe b/c she wasn't read for that relationship? I do believe Eric loves her (and is preferable over Bill). Eric is always there for her --- and does stuff for her that he knows she needs (driveway, coat, protection, helping her friend, and on and on......)
I am not saying Eric doesn't have his good qualities. But she can't have any normal life with him. I seem to be hearing from these posts that Sookie should be with Eric because he is a hot viking vampire and I think that is the absolute wrong reason to be with someone just on looks and not many people have been giving any other reasons. A few have but it is still heavily based on looks and then the other stuff secondary.
I also think it was Eric that her grandfather was talking about. The fact he went through Eric to even get in touch with Sookie makes me believe that even more. I think Eric, then Quinn, and then Alcide are my top choices of hotties..from the books.
Ok, lets throw another name into the hat. What about----BUBBA??? He's also there to protect Sookie. I know, I know, probably not, especially since we don't even know if Granddad knows Bubba. But hey--Bubba is one of MY fav characters. lol, after I read the first book, I had to call my sister (who was an all time fangirl for Elvis) and tell her that I now knew what had happened to Elvis--and why there were all these "sightings" of him. She did NOT think it was funny. Sigh, NO sense of humour at all. :oP

If we're basing our vote on the books alone I think I'd probably go for Bill but ever since True Blood came out on HBO and I actually have a face to picture while I read the books, I'm all for Eric. :) Quinn sounds pretty promising too though so we'll just have to see.
In the books: I'm going with Eric and Quinn.On the show: Eric is hot, but Sam is cute.

I just got introduced to Quinnn so I may just have to go with him. Maybe it's the animalistic magnetism but he seems beautiful. :)
Sook is short for Sookie. Which, for you non-Southerners out there--Sookie is a nickname for Susan. Not sure where it came from, but my cousin Susanne is called Sookie by the family, and has been for the last (er, ok, I don't want to get killed by her, so I'll just say--she's 2 years younger than I am--and I am mid-fifties. You all can do the math yourselves.) :oP
Tessa said Bill was a sook and I don't think she was referring to Sookie. In the books, it says Sookie isn't short for anything.

Quinn had so much potential in my opinion, but in the beginnning of book eight when she hadn't hardly seen him weeks at a time before the summit, I knew it probably wouldn't work out. Eventhough I have been rooting for Eric since his amnesia, I will always hope that Sookie finds a nice sweet strong and gorgeous Were/shapeshifter.

I still think that Sookie could end up with Hadley's ex. I think she would be a good mom, she liked Arlene's kids, and she would be able to help her nephew along with his telepathy.
I'm all about Team Eric :) but after the last book I am worried about his chances. (Haven't read the newest book yet).
Eric is his own team and doesn't really "play" nice with others.

Totally Eric all the way. Tessa is totally right, Bill is a sook. Bill shows his feelings right out front but Sookie brings out the sweetness in Eric. The thing I'm worried about for the show is if Anna and Stephen's real life relationship will cut down the Sookie/Eric action :( I think even though she would have to live a different lifestyle with a vamp lover Sookie loves the mind silence too much she gets with them.

Eric is the hottest by far. But I also like Bill. I hate Sam. I can't stand him. Just get out the way already. Dude, you don't have a chance with Sookie!!
umm kinda hard since he is her boss and she has no desire to quit.
i really liked quinn, but he never made sookie a priority, which was her point in dumping him--other than that I am a HUGE eric fan, they compliment each other and i hope they work it out and really get together, like really head-over-heels in love, I think they would work well together that way, so far they are together, but not wholly sold out for each other

I was completely in-love with Bill until the whole.. Well, yeah. After that, I switched to Team Eric. I always thought he was gorgeous though. Those bad boys always seem to find a way into your heart.

I have to say Sam...he's always there for her. Even when she doesn't want to involve him, he's always trying to help her and gets mad when she keeps things from him. The vamps are just too manipulative for my taste. Who can say how a vamp really feels, anyway? There is so much plotting and manipulating going on in their minds along with other stuff. I liked Quinn, too. It's a shame he has his mom to deal with. Maybe CH will kill her off sometime....
