EnglishElleI finished my first pick
and really enjoyed it. Thanks - I'm still planning on reading my other pick too.
finished my first book
I would have given it 3.5 stars but I took off half a star because I had it figured out about 1/3 of the way through the book so it gets 3 stars.
Forgot to post that I finished
. I always enjoy Madelaine Hunter's books. I gave this one 4 stars and can't wait to read the next one.
Finished
. 5 stars. Really good, but very long. A page turner with some real applications to my own health issues... very frightening in that regard, but also very enlightening and validating... HIGHLY recommend...
So I finished both
and
and while I did like the stories I give them both a three out of five stars become of some typeo mistake that are in the nook books.
DelitealexI finished my books for the month.
Quiet Nights 3 stars -- good, but too short
Beckoning Blood 3 stars -- good in parts, but too much left answered
Thanks for the picks!
Thank you Ezi for running this challenge.
So I just got done with
and I just couldn't get into the story,I did finish it but I give it a 1 out of five stars
♥KathyD♥ wrote: "Hi Anita! Here are my picks for you...

I finished my first pick by you
which I was pleasantly surprised by. It was just what I needed after some very slow books the beginning of this month. I liked how it went right into the action, and kept the focus mostly on the mystery. It reminded me a bit of an action film. Actually mostly of 'Taken 3' because of the plot (just with paranormal beings). Definitely going to continue it - and so happy I bought the first 3 books in one go. Will probably get to the other pick during next week.
Thanks again for picking this.
Finished
. It was a really good book and even though I didn't really like the ending, I still give it 5 stars. They can't all end in happily ever after.
I finished
and found myself laughing out loud during certain chapters. I thought Chelsea's first book was more enjoyable, but I'm glad I was able to read this one. I started
yesterday! This book has beautiful descriptions. It is hard to put it down. Thank you again for the picks, Kristin ~ Experiment in Terror Junkie!
I've finished both of my picks for the month, and added in an extra from my shelf. All of them were middle of the road reads for me, not really standing out at all, but at least I am advancing in to my TBR mountain!
I finished the first of my books,
. I loved this book so much I gave it 5 stars. Once I started it I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it all in one sitting. I was unaware of the cliffhanger ending though. Ugh!! It's going to kill me not to read the next book in the series right now. Thanks for the picks Anita! I'm not sure I'll get to the other one, but I'm sure going to try.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Amy. I hate cliffhangers sometimes. Especially if I don't have the next book in a series so I can start it right away :)

yesterday. It was nice to see Caesar and Dan again - even if they really need to find time to actually talk to each other. Thanks for the pick!

I think I have that one. I will need to add it to my Meet greet shelf so I can get to it faster.

I finished
. 2 stars for me. I didn't realize it was more a political statement book than a desert island survival story, which is what I was after. Glad to get it off my TBR after 3 years though!

Margaret,
I finished
and really enjoyed it. The heroine was the unconventional type that wrote advocating for equality and women's rights. I am sure you can just imagine how the English ton felt about that!
Thanks for the pick.

KarinaI finished
; it was a good thriller! I read it in one sitting. I can't wait to finish the rest of the series.I tried to read
, I just couldn't get in to it. Maybe I wasn't in the right frame of mind (I'm packing to move by the end of June.) So it was a DNF. :(

Thanks for the great picks Leslie!
Breaking Danger — ★★★ 6/17
I liked the series as a whole quite a bit...this last installment wasn't the best however. First, I have no issues with the love/lust at first site thing, but when a big-ass, Ghost Ops soldier falls through your door...who you have never met or seen a day in your life...do you really have sex with him right then and there just because he's hard? Ya...I couldn't wrap my head around that one. I really liked getting to know Jon. His tortured past makes him an intriguing character...and as he's been all along, Jon is loyal and determined to his core. Sophie...was a bit one dimensional for me. I very much appreciated the fact she wasn't a hysterical mess for the entire book...I mean, the zombie apocalypse has hit and she is still in scientist mode...that was a nice touch!
As a whole, the book moved at a great pace! But then it just ended...the anxiety of getting Jon and Sophie to Haven was so apparent...but I feel like some connection to the last of the fighting of this crazy ride and the epilogue was lost somewhere. As I started, I would recommend this series to people who like Rice's work and hot, paranormal books...this last one just didn't do it for me.
Standing in the Shadows — ★★★★★ 6/22
I'm upset with myself for waiting so long to get back to this series! The first book wove an amazing tale and this story builds on it. I really liked Erin and Conner together, though they took their sweet time understanding each other. I plan to make it a point to continue this series sooner rather than later so I don't lose my forward momentum. The writing is wonderful and the way the story is tied together and unfolds is fascinating!
Ora,I finally got around to reading
today. OMG, Why did I wait so long? This was REALLY good, but really kind of scary in too close to reality sort of way. 5 Stars. Medical Ethics, Nazi experiments, human moral taboos... OMG ya'll, just read it.
Coming in on the last day, but I finished my second book,
, and it was actually quite cute. Four stars, maybe even four and a half. I'm sure if the original wasn't one of my very favorite books, it would've had a much better chance of getting five, but it did kinda come first, by almost two centuries, so it cheated by having a head start. ^_^ But seriously, cute/funny/strange book, that I suggest all those twisted like me read.

I'd love to pick for more people, as well, if you need me. I saw quite a few people had books that I've read and adored that I'd love to have others read, and quite a few more that had books that I've been dying to read myself. And even the ones that had neither of those had such interesting looking titles/covers/etc that it'd be fun to pick more.
