Question. I started
over 1 year ago. Read 69 pages but stopped. Had to start over to remember what was going on. Can I use this for a romance book for this challenge?

Well, even I think it's hard to concentrate with the heat today, so I can definitely understand the boys! :)
Yay!! A month of hard work. Love it. Can't wait to see the results. Everyone did so well, no matter what!!! :) I enjoyed this challenge and had so much fun - love ya Team N!!! :D
I totally understand about the heat. Scotland is only warm and sunny on rare days and it's about 20 degrees right now and I'm boiling.
What? 20 degrees Celsius? That is nearly cold here in Brazil LOLI mean, it's around 16°C, and I'm wearing long sleeves and a sweater
Let's not forget about the difference in the humidity. 30C degrees in Denmark is extremely(!) warm, but 30C degrees in the south of Spain is nice :)
I don't know about the south of Spain, I do know that summers where I live are hot and humid, to the point that you step out of the shower and immediately begin sweating.
I just saw all of these comments and it took me a moment to remember that most places use Celsius, not Fahrenheit, to measure temperature. Haha. The temps were not adding up in my head! I realized my mistake though. :)Here it's about 100F which would be around 38C. And it's humid. Ugh. It's been so hot.
I wish it was cold but I live in California where we do really get cold days. The coldest we see in winter is around 50 degrees Fahrenheit which I believe is 10 degrees Celsius. Now in summer it's anywhere between 90-108 degrees Fahrenheit which is 32-42 degree Celsius. Plus we have high humidity.
Right now it's only 7:20am and its 59% humidity and its 72 degrees Fahrenheit out.

Yikes, Lindsey. I've never been to California, I live in South Carolina, but I know what the heat and humidity feel like!

I feel you. We had 101 the other day. It was BAD. ☀️ It's why I'm planning a lot of indoor reading during the day and than enjoying the nice air at night

We're in winter here in Brazil, which means lows of 12°C at night. It may not be too cold for some of you (especially Canadians and north Europeans), but temps like these mean everyone bundled up in layers and layers, scarves, hats, gloves, coats, the whole thing. And when it gets this cold, I get my feather eiderdown out.
When we do get the few days of winter in California my friends in the east coast call me a wimp because to me 10C-20C is cold but they get in the negatives I believe.
I could not live in any of those countries/states. It's 18 degrees here and 73% humidity and I feel like I'm dying haha. In winter it's usually about 5 degrees here.
My German cousins are like that... 15°C and they're dressing shorts and talking of going to the beach, while the rest of us shiver in cold
It doesn't really cool down here at night most of the time during the summer. :( Usually still in the 90s. Tati, it doesn't get extremely cold here in winter, but it's humid so that makes the chill have a definite bite. Usually around 25F would be our low (but it can still get up to 50s or 60s during the day).
The nights here are usually 70/80 Fahrenheit
Tati that is basically everyone in my town right now. It's 18 degrees and everyone is out in their shorts and at the beach haha
The thing is, I like cold weather. I love bundling up. I figure that you can always add one more layer when it's cold. When it's hot, it gets to point that there are no more layers to take off, and you're still melting
Yes, it really does. People who visit from the western US (Utah, Idaho, Colorado) usually say it feels colder here than it does there, although they have much lower temperatures. It's the wet that does it.

I am from Colorado now in California, and this heat is beating me down fast and there is only so much I can do to try and keep the temp reasonable.
Yep, I've heard Americans say that they've never felt so cold as they have here in Brazil. Again, it's the wet, but it adds to the fact that we have no central heating here. This means that, sometimes, being inside feels as cold as (if not colder) being outside
Here I am in central Manitoba enjoying my 35C weather (ok it is quite toasty) knowing only a few months ago (and then again in a few months) it will be back down to -35C!. I totally understand the humidity being a huge game changer though!I'm just glad to live in a place where the temperature changes during the year. I don't think I'd like it very much if everything stayed the same all year.

I would much prefer to be bundled up and moving to stay warm (even with the wet cold), than hot.
Yup California hear can bite. And it's usually all we. I love when it does have a rare cold day in winter. Love to bundle up.
@Tati I agree.

I believe the east coast (New York) gets cold. They had record snow, this year. I believe they had around -20C

This is the hottest day of the year so far here. 31 degrees celcius is hot for the UK! Usually 20 degrees is shorts weather!
We've had about 30 degrees up in northern England today so I've been sat out reading, it's just started to thunder though so I've had to come back in :(
Courtney wrote: "Wow, Jessica, -35C. I'm not sure I could handle that cold."Surprisingly you almost get used to it. I mean, if you add wind to that then all bets are off because it's just really awful. But I guess that's one of the neat things about our world!
