I read this book in elementary school about 10-14 years ago. All I can remember is that the whole or large majority is in black and white. If I can remember correct the cover has a slightly mc esher type drawing with black and white tiles "coming out at you" and the back of a boy. He may or may not have been running after his dog? I cannot remember if there were words or not but it was predominately pictures if there were any. For some reason I am thinking in the book the boy's dog runs away and he is chasing him and ends up in a black and white world in some man's house, however this may be a false memory. has any one else came across this book?? Dying to find it again!
