Ask Michael Jackson's father how that works!
I think that happens a lot in the younger stars' worlds doesn't it? I can think of a few...

Gran didn't make it up but the author never told us WHEN she got the diagnosis. So I am wondering about that too because (view spoiler)

But in the end she mentioned taking her medication. It didn't say what kind of mess but mentioned it. I will look for it now

So on page 298, grandma says When your head is clear and you are back on your medication, you will see that the boy (Finn) is trash.
Bonnie never contradicts the "back on your medication" statement.
On Pg. 299, it says her pills were in grandma purse.
It is possible they were really anti depressants. Grandma is not trustworthy so who knows what she's been giving Bonnie

Right. I do sort of remember that. T would be much easier to convince Bonnie she needs mess than a doctor- I'd hope! But why? That part was just a big ?? For me.
Ezinwanyi~the Impish Angel wrote: "The author never clarified the issue"RIght. It was added ammo that Gran manipulates and controls her and makes us question Bonnie's mental state, I guess. But if there was a true ransom call the FBI would have been all over hat- wouldn't they??

That's another thing that was thrown in there that bothered me- was she bipolar or not? They touch on it and she sure acts like it in layman's terms (switches from crying to laughing in the same conversation isn't true bipolar disorder but maybe that was the point? 'Gran' was trying to keep her mellow and on meds. But then the doctors are in charge of that prescription- Idk. Aren't all performers 'bipolar' in some way? It's that type of energy that keeps them writing all those sad/angry songs and performing! Didn't make sense...
