Shelly and Cal have known each other for eight years and have been very happily married for 6. However, on the day of their wedding anniversary, Cal returns from his friend's Scott's bachelor's party and confesses the unthinkable: he woke up naked in a Vegas hotel-room, with a naked blonde on the verge of leaving. He is certain the two of them had sex, but cannot remember a thing - not how they met, not if they did it.

“I’d always believed that Cal and I would be together forever … That we’d have children and grow old together. That he would never hurt me.Well, he hadn’t just hurt me. He’d crushed me. He’d crushed us.”

The story starts where Cal woke up butt naked besides an unknown woman, after his friend Scott's bachelor party. The thing is that he couldn't remember anything of what happened. He couldn't no wouldn't lie to his wife, Shelly, about this. But when he told Shelly she left him

I'll just say I won't read the rest of these series. Or anything else from this author. The heroine and one of her friends Sasha are ones of the most self centered, selfish, arrogant people ever. In real life, I would never be friends with them. They are that kind of people that think they are better than everyone else and only their opinions matter. And I

Shelly and Cal have been married for six years when Cal suddenly finds himself in a position that can ruin his marriage. During a quick guy’s trip to Las Vegas for his best friend’s bachelor party, he wakes up in bed with a woman he’s never met. When he comes home and admits his mistake to his wife, she immediately leaves him and intends to file for divorce. However, Cal convinces Shelly to give him eight weeks (one week for each of the years they’ve known each other) to prove she could come to ...more

Very Contemporary/NA approach of a young married couple where the H wakes up naked with a naked woman in his room. He probably had sex but can't remember. He's horrified, but not quite as horrified as his high school sweetheart now wife. She leaves for dad's house immediately.

The rest of the story is his hardcore press to get her back within an 8 week window.

Yeah, it was sweet, and the couple are surrounded by a strong group of friends from high school with their own issues. It had a very clean-

I did not care for this book.

I'm sure you read the synopsis for the book, but in case you don't know what it is about I will explain. It starts with a man named Cal waking up naked and extremely hungover in Vegas after his friend's bachelor party the night before. He has no memory of what happened after his friends put him into a cab to return to the hotel. As he is vomiting into a trash can, a naked woman waltzes out of the bathroom, gets dressed, and leaves. He returns home to his wife and tel

I was gifted this in Audio format from the author through Audiobook Boom. The reader, Beth Stewart, was pretty good. There are POVs from both MCs and she does a nice job with both voices.

Cal and Shelly have been in love since they first met at 16. Married for 6 years they are now both mid 20's and still deeply devoted to each other.
The story starts with the catalyst that begins the unraveling of their marriage. Cal on a trip to Vegas with his two BFFs gets black out drunk and wakes hungover and

This is one of my favorite types of stories - husband cheats and/or marriage in trouble. So, I couldn't wait to read this one. However, I could not stand Shelly (the wife). Cal is devoted to her, and during a bachelor party, he gets drunk and wakes up with another woman in his bed. According to both parties, he has never done anything like this before. It is a total aberration for him. I can understand Shelly's anger and hurt; I could understand her leaving for a few days when she finds out. But ...more

So disappointed.

I was really looking forward to this book, so when the price dropped I snatched it up. I'm disappointed because I felt this book had potential to be amazing give the topic- a marriage betrayal. But the whole story fell flat. I felt the book could have been more emotionally charged. And the ending was abrupt. I felt there was no resolution to the story nor to the characters feelings.

I know I went into this with my eyes wide open knowing that cheating is in the equation and for me to really call this annoying. However, I so wanted to give this more than 3 STARS but with the way I felt about Cal and Shelly and what Cal had to do ended up just hoping that I'd finish this book quicker.

Okay so as everyone knows I love Bethany Lopez! She is the bomb and I had the privilege to beta read this book and HOLY MOTHER LOVER is this s story that will stay with you for years to come.

Okay so 8 Weeks is such an emotional story that it took me a while to write this review because I was torn between trying to write a spoiler free review but at the same time giving readers a little of what is to come when Bethany releases this story. So this is what I have really it is a question all married

Okay I won't lie. This book has disappointed me.

I really wanted to read an emotional book with the cheating and divorce elements. So when I saw the cover and read the description, I picked it up immediately. But it didn't stand up to my expectations at all. The author could have done a way better job with the theme. I lost my interest just in the first ten chapters.

I feel this book could have been a lot more cold and emotional but the author just skipped all of it. If anything, it could atleast

As expected, this was a crazy fast read. It was also awesome. Coming into a relationship that had already been established was a refreshing change from the normal romance story. I love what a sweet, dedicated husband Cal proved to be but could also see Shelly's side and it really made me wonder if I could look past an indescretion or I would demand a divorce. Loved this bittersweet story and can't wait to find out what happens with their friends!

Cal wakes up in Vegas after a night of drinking. When he gets his bearings and realizes what happen the night before, he knew he messed up. He's pretty sure once his wife finds out, she'll leave him.

Shelly is preparing a nice surprise for when her husband of 6 years returns from his "boys trip" in Vegas. Everything is perfect, he just needs to get home. When he walks thru the door, she immediately senses that somet

I'm not big into reading stories that focus on infidelity in a marriage, but this book is different in that the incident has already taken place when the book starts, and Cal is immediately remorseful about what happens. He knows it's something he could never keep from Shelly, not matter how much it would break her heart, yet when he tells her the story, he's unprepared for her reaction of immediately wanting to file for divorce. He manag

Let me start by saying that although this book kept my attention, it was a bit of a tough read for me. I do like reading marriage in jeopardy stories. I love to see how couples can work through their issues and come out on the other side whole and their love stronger than it was before. Being married myself, I honestly don't know if I could deal with the level of betrayal that happened to Shelly.

Cal needs 8 weeks, 8 dates to prove how much he loves his wife and win her back. Shelly is just done

After reading the synopsis of 8 Weeks, I decided to buy it and read it because it's not very often the cheating in one of the books I read is that of a monogamous couple who is truly in love. I've always said that if my hubs had cheated pre-home ownership and children, I would divorce him in a minute. After home and children? I would not be so quick to terminate a relationship.

This story has Shelly making a rash decision and Cal asking for just 8 weeks, 8 dates to prove they really should be to

A repentant crazy-in-love husband asking for forgiveness after his drunken one night stand he can't remember.

An uncommunicative wife.

Forgiveness being granted after 8 weeks.

Would you be able to forgive your significant other in such a scenario?

Truthfully, I wouldn't know.

When i read the blurb of this book,i was pretty sure that i would end up loving the book.. the storyline was right up my alley! but unfortunately for me, not even 10% into the book, i realised that it's not the story i want to read.. first let's just clarify a little bit of the storyline.. Cal and Shelly are high school sweethearts who got married pretty early in their life.. they hang around with a perfect group of friends (cal has two male friends and Shelley's has two girlfriends)...they hang ...more
