Yes, it is pretty sad. You will hear FInn's story fairly soon. At least part of it. I'm waitin to understand the 'why' of it. But at chapter 13 I haven't seen it yet...

I was waiting for the 'Bonnie and Clyde' portion to really kick in....
(view spoiler)[ I'm going to be grazing over my dislike for the book on the fact that this is obviously purely from the romance genre- which is my least favorite, unless it really has a great plot to go along with it. For me, this is not that plot. The writing is really good- like The Law Of Moses. It flows, there are plenty of metaphors that work and poignant phrases. I like the 'Infinity Plus One' description.
I just do not like the story so far. Boring, unbelievable in a way that is not an interesting, fantastical way. I get Bonnie is very naive in many ways since she was thrust (thrusted?;)) into the business by her grandmother (enough with the 'Gran' already) at a very young age and overprotected so did not get to grow up and experience things like other teens. So she is childlike in many ways and just purely lucky that she hooked up with Clyde who immediately feels the need to take care of her. Maybe we will see a clandestine connection later on- the whole identical twins who died- now they are two halves of each others whole...
But she finally robed a bank to get her hands on her own funds that GRAN put an alert on so she couldn't move around freely without her. Here comes the big chase. Why they hadn't been looking for Clyde's car and plates this entire time is beyond me.
And Bear- the enormous bodyguard who drove from Nashville to St. Louis to meet her there and take her back- meets Clyde, her supposed kidnapper with the swastika tattoos, for what, 3 minutes?, and immediately agrees to let them drive to California to the Oscars? And comes up with a plan on how that'll work in another 3 seconds? Take my car I'll return yours in Nashville.... What??
This is probably completely acceptable in the Romance Genre and people aren't bothered by it at all because they are focusing on the relationship portion of the story. I guess I'm not a love at first sight star crossed lovers kind of girl! It's not her, it's me....;) (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Grandma is really pissing me off. Cleared out Bonnie's account? I was bugged by Bonnie taking the money too from the bank. I can see how she'd be tempted to do something like that, but is she really that removed from reality that she doesn't understand consequences?

I'm not a fan of insta-love either.. but this one isn't quite as nauseating as some I've come across. At least they've had to go through some experiences and have had actual conversations. LOL! (hide spoiler)]

I think this one had a slow start compared to some of her others, but it picked up speed as I read on... Law of Moses is still my most favoritest though!! Making Faces may be second.. A Different Blue , third...

Finished! And finally got to read all your "spoilers". I think the reason I liked this so much is because Romance is my favorite genre lol. (view spoiler)[The insta-love didn't bother me at all, probably because Bonnie and Finn had been together 24/7 pretty much since meeting. I did question why Bonnie didn't just tell the truth from the beginning, but I guess it didn't bother me enough to ruin my enjoyment of the story. I liked the explanation of Infinity + One, and I liked the "six" pointed tattoo and how together they were mathematically perfect and untouchable. Math was my favorite subject in high school, so I liked how all of Finn's mathematical knowledge was woven into the story. I did not like the rest of Finn's tattoos and really wish he would have them changed. (hide spoiler)] This story was completely unrealistic, but I like Amy Harmon's writing, so I can suspend my disbelief over all the unrealistic situations. But I have to agree with you guys, The Law of Moses is still my favorite out of the two.

Finished. If romance was my favorite genre I would have loved this book too. It was a sweet, ridiculously naive romance with a great ending. And what I mean by that I think is evident by the story itself- Distraught super star meets broken ex-con (both surviving identical twins btw) and fall in love on day 2 while on the run.... (view spoiler)[ Married on day 8- isn't that a significant number? Did they even mention that as they mentioned all the other number correlations? Don't remember. The math genius part was interesting. I liked math too so enjoyed this part. I will stick with my previous feelings though and rate it a 3 because of the last chapter. I do like a happy ending, even if it is completely unbelievable. And the writing itself is very good.
So, Gran knew nothing about Hank setting Bear up? I was confused by that part and how it didn't really make sense. The 'please don't leave me' and then she took off was annoying. Immature- but she was immature with her bizarre upbringing. She had a good heart though.
But the open question for me was, why did Fish suddenly rob a convenience store and shoot the clerk???!!! He kept saying he was impulsive and brought life into everything but - really? They were high and that's why? Their father is head of math at a University! It just didn't make sense for me. And he took the rap because his prints were on the gun? Oh well... Law Of Moses was much better for me. I do like romance and relationships in a book as a back theme- this proves it. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

The start was a bit slow for me and it's not one of my favorites of Miss Harmon's, but I did enjoy the read and rated it ☆☆☆☆... Loved the math references too!

It's funny bc if I go to a movie I love to grab the popcorn and watch a sappy romance or comedy- light and funny. But when I read I like the romance- good bad and/or ugly!- coinciding with the plot. But plot is foreground- like EIT for example! Love Perry and Dex.

Like music, I like all different genres. I can jump around and like all sorts of things. I do really enjoy the paranormal fiction- so fun and interesting! I like historical fiction , suspense/mystery, and comedy too (The Rosie Project was hilarious!). I guess depends on my mood??!

I'm the opposite I HATE PNR .......However I have been dipping my toe I to "light" PNR recommended by Miss K and the Chickadees and so far I've loved them, except Dark lover that shit was all kinds of wrong haha

The weird thing is I love the occult and all of that stuff, Stephen King is one of my favourite authors, I just can't get to grips with all of these vampire/werewolf books!
