NaNoWriMo: Are You Pariticipating In The Challenge?

I have started my story. "The Meeting" and I am at 448 words. I will write for about 30 more minutes.

I know that Danielle is participating. This is my first time. Is anyone else participating in the challenge?

I'm doing a 5k short story first for an antho closing next month. I thought I'd use NaNo as a kicker and I'm still dragging my feet! Agh! I'm going to get into gear tonight. Rae, the young lady states that she's too young to get a job. So, if she's in school, I wonder how she has gotten that far in only 2 days.

I find the challenge to be fun for me. As I am always saying, I don't desire to be publish. I've told a sister of mine from church that I was participating in this challenge. She knows that I don't care to ever be published and she told me to go for the challenge. To challenge myself and that's what I am doing.

I thank Danielle for pushing me on and Deanna for pushing me on.

I think, once I am finished, I will post my story here.

I honestly didn't know what I was going to write about and before I know it, I sat down and just started writing. Usually stories come to me. And I have to say at that moment that story came to me at the last minute.

I'm writing an interracial story. My hero's name is Matthew and the heroine's name is Diamond.

Well, I'm glad to hear that. I'm actually really getting into my story. I'm enjoying writing a story in this time period and in a genre I've always wanted to write in. This is something completely different from what I've written before.

I didn't do much writing tonight. I was focus on looking up someting and I had to get my soup done. I had a taste for it.

I'm being a turtle. I am not where I should be according to the Nanowrimo site. But that's okay. I don't think that I will end my story. I'll try.

I don't mind writing, but I like to do other things as well and that's why I try to give two hours of my time to Nanowrimo. I might give more hours today. It depends how I feel, when I get home.

I don't have that much free time in the evenings, and it's distracting to try and write at work, so I only have about 1-1.5 hours at night to work on it during the week. I have almost 8,0000 words, so I'm not feeling too behind.

I have almost 16,000 words. According to the Nanowrimo daily count, I should be at 20,000.

Don't we have to edit our story before the 30th and then have Nanowrimo count our words, by pasting our story on their site?

No you just have to post it by midnight on Nov. 30. It doesn't have to be edited. It just needs to be 50,000 words or more.

Good, because I don't know when I will reach 50,000 words and I don't know if I want to go back and edit the story.

You can post what you have at 50,000 words. There's not law against finishing the story later on.

I hope the fourteen remaining days take long, before the 30th hit. I hope to be in my 30's by Saturday and then on Saturday close to 40,000 words. Right now I am almost at 25,000 words.

I did it! My first Nanowrimo. Thank you Danielle for encouraging me to do this. You too Rae.

My story is at a cliffhanger, but I'm so happy that I've stuck with this challenge, ending it with 50,336 words.

I will print out my certificate, when I get some ink. I'm in no rush. I have it saved.

I'm so proud of myself. I am writing about my experience on my blog.
